Illogical dig

My project is working my way through layers in our “Black Hole ” room.

I remember when two little boys slept in there, Just two years apart. They are 35 and 33 now. They each had there sleeping space with a shared wall wallpapered in Garfield. I can remember whispers and arguments and plotting.

I’m finding old pictures a family album in boxes. It is a worthwhile project to organize these but not today.

Why do we keep clothes thinking we’ll wear them if we just lose weight? I’m picturing someone at Good Will smiling because they found something good.

We found a beautiful table at Good Will last night and when went to pay for it ,half off better still! Grateful to who donated it! Grateful for the bargain!

It is illogical to be jealous of my daughter for going to Vegas to visit my other daughter but you feel what you feel. My gratitude is that they are spending time together and she’ll take pictures at Disney and San Diego.

It is illogical to expect that we can get everything done so quickly. I’m grateful for what we’ve accomplished and hopeful that we can continue working hard.

Don’t you just love Spock? Eyebrow raised he would think illogical, totally illogical.

Can’t sleep

I woke up a little after 5 a.m as if it was time to do something. Perfect opportunity to turn to gratitude.

A friend posted on Facebook how wonderful she felt and how she felt so grateful to be alive and part of the plan. Her friends turned on her, ridiculed her and made it a joke. I was incensed everyone should have the right to be grateful and not apologize for it.So I’m grateful for Anne who though she is struggling thinks life is incredible. (It is!)

Choir party last night. Good food, good friends. Perfect evening to be out watching the little ones play! We raise our voice in song and though this one is difficult with four part harmony I love being part of the group.

A line from the hymn” for all all who borrow life from Thee lift up your voice in prayer for everywhere that  we can be You are there” Where is God? In us,in you as well as around us.

Going to Cornerstone to buy a plant this afternoon. It is wonderful to see the outpouring of love.

Grateful for air conditioners. I was moving stuff in our “Black Hole” room. Too much stuff!

The blog Crystal posted resonated with me. Everything you own owns you! Simplify!

Hubby is working so hard everyday to make our little shack look better! Yesterday he poured cement and set posts for a porch rail.

Doctor pronounced my eyes healed. Over a year I had inflammation. He’ll check them in the Fall but thinks I am finally better.

Fill your day with gratitude and love and empty those closets!
