Sunday, July 2, 2017…….Grateful for many things.

God at top of my list.

The wonderful church service today.  Pastor Josh….YOU ROCK!

Getting together with family for a bar-b-que later today.

The beautiful day.  My cat woke me up jumping around my dresser.  I guess I was meant to go to the 8 a.m. church service, rather than the 9:30 one. ;-)

The sweet look on my dog’s face as he looks at me, as if to say, “I too like eggs, mama.”  Sorry Jax.  No deal. ;-)

Neighbors who care about my house and look out for me.

Waking up sober another day.  May it never leave my gratitude list.

Being able to breathe.  One of the many good things of not smoking.

A roof over my head, however old it is, I am grateful.

That I can hear a song my husband liked and still hear him singing it while he plays his air guitar or air drums.  I hope he is doing that in heaven also. <3

Last, but not least, FAMILY.  Yes, they get mentioned twice today.

About Karen Teig

I am a 58 year old Native Minnesotan. I work as a Storekeeper at a local hospital here in town. I have been sober since April 18, 1982 and have not smoked since September 8, 2005. I am a Born Again Christian who loves Jesus and am grateful for each day I wake up. I have found that even in the hard times, like after my husband's suicide that I can still find things to be grateful for, even if they are little things. God always has my back.
