  • Remembering Montana’s former Governor Judy Martz
  • Our only female Governor
  • Among other things, she had been an Olympic speed skater…
  • …if she was told she couldn’t do something, she would excel at it
  • Our son was one of many people paying last respects to her at the Capitol rotunda
  • He wears a “turtle” pin from her…she believed “If you don’t stick your neck out, nothing will happen.”
  • RIP Judy Martz

  • Being able to have a picture of our six grandchildren, residing in Oregon, Washington, Ohio, Montana, and, again, love and touching and hugs.
  • An actual week of festivities and fun…with the wedding, the rehearsal dinner at a family’s home outside near a mountain stream and a campfire; the wedding at Hyalite Canyon next to a lake; the reception with music and dancing in town; the Sunday morning brunch at mother of the bride’s horse ranch.
  • Other fun things were Crystal’s book signing at WSS; sapphire digging; well, a lot more :)

  • What a variety of weather patterns in the U.S…..
  • ….Prayers for those in Houston (my cousin was not flooded)…for those and our friends in Florida and path of the hurricanes (thankful that Garrett’s friend is safe)…and those in Montana, Idaho, and the states where the fires have been out of control, some having to evacuate and can now return to their homes. Praise God!

  • …and another night at 10pm from Salem area to Lake Oswego, got turned around because of road construction, zillions of vehicles flying down I-5 (we decided they all knew where they were going) but, again, calm and cool Cathy and navigator Scott, got us back on the right track…we decided it was just another fun adventure :)
  • Going to OR and returning, we stopped in Washington to spend time with gson AJ and family…loved being with ggson/ggdaughter :)
  • Hooray! Went to the Oregon Coast….love the Coast!  Hadn’t been there for quite some time and used to go often….walked on the beach, savored the fresh ocean air, had lunch at the Sea Hag, whale watching at Depot Bay (the smallest navigable seaport in the world), touristy thing in some of the shops…fun and memories :)

  • Just another day in paradise!
