2. Walking at lunch.

2a. Writing a draft of an essay and making it halfway through.

2c. I made amends to Dana, after about 2.5 years. Years ago, I judged him on his choice of reading material, which I had no business doing. He was gracious and forgave me.

2. Picked up prescriptions from a nice technician, and got deep blue, lavender, mint, and thistle nail polish> The young woman at the checkout counter said I should wear all the colors at once, and I said, yes, and when people say ” nice color”, I can say “which one”?

3. Took pictures on my evening walk, coming and going.

4. Talked with my mom, who is very busy.

5. Made an omelet.

6.  Attended the Artist’s Way group, and we had a good discussion on chapter 3

7. Attended the NBDI meeting, spoke on the topic of ” when did you realize that you needed a spiritual awakening”, both during the meeting and after.

8. Chatting with Alison and Nykhole during the meeting.

3. Lunch with Cassie.  Cubanos at the Co-Op.

4. Trimming Cassie’s lilacs in front of the house.

5. Coffee with Cassie.

6. Driving home safely.

7. Talking with Cameron and Anna, my neighbors, about their herb garden, the flowers I was about to plant, and the peonies and roses starting to show out front.

8. Plant food from Cassie. Hung the fuchsia geranium plant, and planted the zinnias.

9. Phone call with my mother.  She was exhausted from working with the realtor all day.

10. Finishing off the questions in Chapter 3 of the Artist’s Way.

11.  Logging on to the NBDI meeting, and speaking on the topic “life on life’s terms”. Talking with Willy about the same topic in the after meeting.

2. Gratitude text from Maureen.  Inspired me to write my list.

3. Another day of sobriety.

4. Cassie and i read the papers.

5. Cassie bought me zinnias from the Co-op.

6. We visited Lori and Fred, Cassie’s neighbors. The dogs lay in the shade.  Pegasus roamed his turf.

7. Cassie weeded her flower garden and planted her basil.

8. I worked on the questions  in chapter 3 of The Artist’s Way.

9. Wrote  a first draft of a poem.

10. Cassie grilled hamburgers and bought macaroni salad. A good dinner.

11. We talked afterward about what a good weekend we have had.

12. We ate key lime pie for dessert.

13. We watched “A Man Called Otto” on TV. I crfed throughout.  It felt good to cry for the first time in a long time. A sad and happy catharsis.

2. Bringing Cassie coffee in the morning.  Feeding Pegasus and appreciating him rubbing up against me.

3. Scratches on the neck for Lantana.

4. Morning meeting and chatting with Sherri, Alison, and A.K. during the meeting and after meeting.Alison sent me a lovely picture of a horse farm she went to, and I sent her a picture of the geraniums I bought, which she liked.

5. Trip with Cassie to Hadley, Mass., which is asparagus country. So many farms growing and selling it.

6. Lunch in South Hadley, Mass., with Cassie. She had a club sandwich and I had the Diablo burger with jalopenos and sweet potato fries.

7. Driving around a retirement community with Cassie, also in South Hadley.

8. Going to the greenhouse in Holyoke, Mass., again with Cassie.  I was looking for zinnias and didn’t find any, so I bought fuchsia geraniums. Cassie bought basil.  Her gardens are beautiful, but her eggplant and beans were hit hard by the frost.

9. Going to the Community Feed store in Easthampton, Mass., with Cassie. She bought dog treats and I bought a wonderful book called “Rainbow the Cat: Goes to the Farm.” I shared it with Cassie who also enjoyed it.  Going to donate it to my library for their children’s collection.

10.  Home with Cassie and Lantana and Molly, the dogs, and Pegasus the cat.  I fed Pegasus treats and gave Molly some scratches on top of her head.  It was the first time she trusted me.  I think I made a friend.

11. Dinner at Galaxy Restaurant with Cassie (also in Easthampton). Nice couple sitting next to us.  The woman complimented me on my skirt and I complimented her on hers. The man complimented me on my hat. He was eating the salmon which I ordered but he was allergic to garlic, so he couldn’t have the topping. Cassie ordered the pasta special and I also ordered the salmon, plus brussel sprout and beet salad appetizers.

12. Back home we read our books in the cool night air.  I got so much reading done last night. I read Chapter 3 of the Artist’s Way, and made my way through a good portion of the questions. Also read a lot of Anne Tyler’s Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant. Cassie read Band of Brothers, by Stephen Ambrose, about the paratroopers in World War II.

13. Watched TV with Cassie until she fell asleep.

14. Worked on my 10th step inventory and gratitude list.

15. And now to read before I go to bed. Hope everyone sleeps well.

2. Morning meeting.

3. Arriving safely on my trip.

4.Pegasus greeting me at the doorway, yowling. He let me scratch him beneath his chin, and behind his ears, and he rubbed up against me.

5. complimenting Cassie on her new hairdo, and the two of us talking about new things.  we visited with the neighbors.  Afterward, we had dinner she bought, bruschetta and some sort of antipasto salad. She said some hard things about the past to me after dinner and I listened her out and gave her feedback and offered her sympathy. and she told me what a good listener i was.

6. Listening to relaxing music while I write this and read before bed.

2. Helping my mom at the registry of motor vehicles.  Sitting and taking with her while we waited, trying to assuage her concerns as well as my own,  Finally, after about two hours she was called to the counter and a woman helped her with her registration.

3. While we waited, there was a man at another counter who was trying to help an English Language Learner, a Russian woman.  He was extremely patient and worked toward a middle ground to help her.

4. Stopping by my favorite taqueria, as I do once a week.

5. Telling my story at one meeting and then another.

6. Phone call with Lisa.

7. Phone call with A.K. He added me to a group chat.

3. Breakfast with Hannah.

4. Meeting with Carrie C. and able to apologize to her. She accepted my apology and we had a good conversation.

5. Meeting Jen, the new librarian and welcoming Jane L. back.

6. Giving my presentation at the faculty workshop yesterday and having a patient and responsive audience. The presentation slides can be found at: https://curry.libguides.com/c.php?g=1278910&p=9673096 Mary Ann helped me put on the finishing touches.  Looking again, I will have to make a couple more tweaks.

7. Nice dinner out.
