Tuesday’s Thanksgiving!

Giving thanks today for:

Keeping a smile on my face when someone accused me of lying!  And not letting my words destroy that person.

Feeling Love and giving Love

Doing for others, it makes them feel good and me too!

rainbows

Our min. schnauzer, Pepper, has had some health issues for the past several weeks and I wanted to share some of my feelings:

A week ago the prognosis was not good … here is some involuntary grief we experienced:  devastation; a heart that actually felt like it was cracking; tears flowing out of control; pacing; going about our routine with numbness; thinking about nothing else; not eating.

And the RAINBOWS!…Grateful for the 7 years of unconditional love that Pepper has given us; so glad that we take her with us everywhere we go; her little tail wagging and her soft eyes looking at us with trust; Today we received encouraging news from a specialist that she can be healed and she has already begun her energy and healing process!

So very GRATEFUL for our Granddaughter and Daughter who showed us the energy and good thoughts to hold on to…always…to replace those dark clouds of involuntary experiences.

We are so grateful for the kind and caring Veterinarians who have treated Pepper as though she were their own.  And it was fun to visit with other pet owners who have such great pets…let’s see..an English sheep dog; a beagle; a cocker spaniel; a yellow lab..to name a few.

Yesterday, there was the most beautiful, vibrant, brilliant RAINBOW I have ever seen sweeping across the sky…amazing and a Praise God…I just knew everything would be good!

Thanks to Belle for her CSW subjects of grief, joy, thoughts…these indeed will continue to help process whatever our experiences may be!

Gratitude for Family Dinner!

1.  Thinking about what to have for a couple of days in advance!

2.  Inviting the Floyd Jrs. (We are Floyd Srs.)

3.  Grandpa Sherman is always invited on Sunday night.

4.  Looking forward to the Sunday camaraderie of family together.

5.  Getting the food together — Maribeth, Tom, and I all pitching in.

6.  Even though the Floyd Jrs. (including the grandsons) couldn’t come at the last minute,

7.  Kevin, our son, came over and we gave him half the dinner for him to take home, and had a little visit

8.  Ham, creamy mushroom rice, broccoli, noodles, pumpkin dessert — oh my!

9.  Grandpa Sherman said it was all chummy sitting around the table after dinner

10.  Oh how blessed we are to have family to love and share food with — to be in the same town with, and enjoy each other’s company!

Choosing Gratitude

1. Lists of love

2. Choosing love in the present moment

3. Choosing what to think instead of letting what I see decide for me

4. “To use the power of gratitude, practice it. The more you feel gratitude, the more love you give; and the more love you give, the more you receive.” -Rhonda Byrne, The Power

5. “Scientists at the Institute of HeartMath in California have shown that feeling love, gratitude, and appreciation in your heart boosts your immune system; increases vital chemical production; increases physical vitality and vigor; reduces stress hormone levels, high blood pressure, anxiety, guilt, and burnout; and improves glucose regulation in diabetics. Feelings of love also create a higher degree of harmony in the rhythm of your heart. HeartMath has shown that the magnetic field of the heart is 5,000 times more powerful than the magnetic field of the brain, and reaches out several feet from our body.”
-Rhonda Byrne, The Power

6. The incredible power of gratitude

7. Being around grateful people

8. Consciously choosing gratitude instead of any other thought

9. The glow of appreciation

10. “A wise man, recognizing that the world is but an illusion, does not act as if it is real, so (therefore) he escapes the suffering.” -Buddha
