When Cassie and I went to hear Tom Paxton, before one of his songs he talked about gratitude, the kind we may feel everyday as just saying thank you, and then a profound, humbling gratitude, wish I could remember his words.  He then went on to play “The Bravest” about the firefighters who went into the Twin Towers, they were going up as we were going down, the refrain went.
