1. Minister’s sermon was on hope and optimism Sunday.
2. THEN I pick up the monthly bulletin to find that June has been designated Gratitude month.
3.”Teach us to truly give thanks in everything, gratitude makes the difference between discouragement and joy.” Steve Miller
4 1Thessalonnins 5:16.Be joyful always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s plan.
5. Sometimes gratitude is easy to find and sometimes it is elusive. Maybe having to find it makes it more precious.
6. A series of events triggered me last night and I was SAD, hollow and empty. Not joyful, not grateful, not happy to be part of a plan that hurts anyone I care about. It is OK to feel that way.
7. I’m grateful for my patient family who can understand when I just want to be alone.
8. Grateful for computer games that disengage my brain so it can think about something else.
9. A day off when I need it.
10. Sunshine and lollipops (I’m quitting smoking again)
Excellent to know this is gratitude month, MaryEllen. Thank you!
Soooo glad you are here again. I’m doing a webinar on gratitude next week, and I am going to use your wonderful quote by Steve Miller. Thanks! Your lists are a wonderful reflection of who you are, and who you are is wonderful!
