Quiet thoughts leading to gratitude

I love this quiet time of the morning nothing interrupts the quiet. I listen to the sounds of an awakening world. The train is chugging along.Cars on the expressway. Birds are twittering and tweeting . Do they know the technology? I don’t.

My computer in my brain begins to spin out ideas. Maybe we could.. I haven’t approached.. I need to do.. I’ll stop on the way to work…Who needs what? What will we eat? What will today bring?

Knowing that my family in Vegas is leaving for Disney I whisper a prayer for a safe and wonderful trip.

My brother-in-law and his wife arrive tomorrow. Pray for me that I can be gracious when I see them.

Whispered prayers with little structure.Gratitude uncontained.

Thankful I feel a little better.

Thankful for a good night’s sleep.

Thankful for things we got done yesterday.

One of my most astounding ideas this morning is for a Gratitude Sunday at Church. During Lent we wrote down needs and requests feels like time to say thank you.I remember standing in front of the box writing “we need a roof “and we already have one. Amazing! Thank you!
