My mother loved St.Patrick’s Day though she was not from green Ireland
Always wore green on that day
Thank you for the nubby green sweater I have on now
She was known to dye things with food coloring
My aunt whose mother was from the Emerald Island loved her visit there. She found a lovely stone ,well half of it, she maintained she would return for the other half.
The music Mournful and hopeful. Grateful for Celtic music
My daughter insisted she could hear leprechauns in the walls. It was a bird’s nest and squirrels and maybe a leprachaun.
Grateful for good memories of St. Patrick’s Past. Corned beef, cabbage, beer, shamrocks, art clutched in small hands,Lucky Charms, decorations passed down, others hung up.
When Irish eyes are smiling for tis like a morn in Spring in the lilt of Irish laughter you can hear the angels sing!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Love your list!
