I remember laying in the back seat listening to my parents talk as we traveled and feeling protected. Father strong, mother loving. Not all are so lucky.
Waking in the night next to hubby snoring and the thunder rumbles but I am safe and dry.
Forty four years since I met hubby. Not all grateful times but easier to bear when love doubled our joy and divided our grief.
Grateful for a neighborhood safe from violence where neighbors wave as they drive by.
Facing something head on but knowing that others form a safety net for me.
Planning an event at Church. I watch it come together.Grateful for help.
Imaging what it will be and accepting my limitations.
Singing in the choir. Can I share the refrain?”I believe in the sun even when it isn’t shining, I believe in love even when there’s no one there and I believe in God even when He is silent.”
