“The communion with God is simple, so we will not be dazzled; so we can eat and drink His love and still go about our lives; so our souls will burn slowly rather than blaze.” – Andre Dubus, “Communion,” in Meditations from a Movable Chair
Two things I truly loved about your list. 1. Gift of breath. I really believe it was a gift after ending up in the hospital this past November with Pneumonia and being hooked up to oxygen, having nebulizer treatments, etc., just to be able to breathe well. 2. “The communion with God is simple, so we will not be dazzled; so we can eat and drink His love and still go about our lives; so our souls will burn slowly rather than blaze.” – Andre Dubus, “Communion,” in Meditations from a Movable Chair. I loved this quote and might invest in that book. Thank you. :)
