Grateful that even though I am having some issues with my mortgage, I am no where near where I was 4 years ago.

Grateful for an air conditioner downstairs in the living room.  It does not help upstairs but at least part of my days off  and when I come home from work I can be comfortable.

Grateful to the good friends I have made in my church.  Unconditional love at its finest.

Grateful for the nice weather, even though I could do without the humidity.

Grateful to see my dog, Jax, happily munching away at his food

Grateful for God as without him, my life would not have meaning.

Grateful for a job where I accumulate vacation.  I have some vacation starting the 23rd.  I will not be so rushed in the morning or tired at night and can post here more often.

Grateful for a good cup of coffee.

Grateful to be able walk with less pain, still some stiffness in my knee but much better than 3 plus months ago.

Grateful for my son.  He is such a strong young man.  Stronger than he should have to have been these past almost 4 years since my husband (his father’s) death.

Grateful for good neighbors.

Grateful for not giving up on life.  That the stuff that was so hard to deal with even when my husband was alive, I can deal with better now.

Grateful for being sober and not smoking anymore.

Grateful for our church pastors and all the people that work hard to make the church a great one to go to.

Grateful for the smell of fresh cut grass.

Grateful for the wonderful sunrises I have woken up to this past week.

Grateful for a roof over my head.

Grateful for my Bible.

Grateful for all the wonderful music out there, whether it be Christian, Rock, Country, Motown, Blues, etc.  It all has mean to me.

Grateful for the ability to read a good book.  My husband could not do that the last few years of his life and had to depend on audio or programs to make the words on his computer bigger.

Grateful for my husband, even when I get a bit angry that he is gone and has left me with a lot to deal with.  We still had almost 25 years together.  He is at peace.

Grateful to be able to put my thoughts and gratitude on this site.

  1. Grateful for your list, Karen. You are a power of example, as some of our fellow travelers would say. Grateful that you put your memories and your feeling of your husband’s presence here, and that you have your son and Jax walking with you. And grateful for your faith, an inspiration and comfort. It inspires me to more grateful, not feel so alone or isolated, and reach out to others with kindness and care. Thank you for all you put into words and share.

    1. You are welcome and thank you for being here and sharing yours also. I really do love this site and will try to be here more daily. God bless!
