Grateful for:

  • Waking up to see another day.
  • Two days off before a 7 day work week.
  • My Bible study friends and others from my church.
  • Reading the Book of James at Bible Study.
  • Being able to have an intelligent discussion and no one judges your input.  They value and welcome everyone’s interpretation.
  • Getting on the scale this morning and seeing I lost 5 pounds.
  • Jesus.
  • My family and friends.
  • Employment that pays my bills.
  • A roof over my head.
  • Fresh air of Fall.
  • Good coffee.
  • Good food.
  • Staying sober and nicotine free another day.
  • Getting up and being able to walk around, hard some days but I know people who have it a lot worse.  Grateful for all I can do.
  • The women I met at Via De Cristo.

About Karen Teig

I am a 58 year old Native Minnesotan. I work as a Storekeeper at a local hospital here in town. I have been sober since April 18, 1982 and have not smoked since September 8, 2005. I am a Born Again Christian who loves Jesus and am grateful for each day I wake up. Life is really what I make of it, with few exceptions. God always has a plan.

  1. I won’t lose weight at our retreat. We eat all day!
Sounds like Life is Good. I woke to numerous comments on all my posts. You made me feel quite treasured.
