Thankful Hank

“Thankful Hank was a grateful boy.

While others would complain he only saw the joy.

Waking up to see the rain he hoots

“Hurray! It’s raining. I can wear my boots.”

When snow is in the forecast,he never is downcast.

“Maybe we’ll get a day off school at last.”

Hank knows it takes sunshine and rain to make things grow.

It takes sunshine and rain to make a rainbow.

It takes life’s sunshine and it’s rain to teach us what we must know.

God asks us to be grateful for all he gives.

Hank is thankful. It’s how he lives!”

My children’s sermon from November 18th.

Grateful for the kid’s response. Grateful for the chuckles from the congregation.

I am thankful Let me live a thankful life!

  1. Scripture was from Thessalonians “Give thanks in all circumstances for that is God’s will through Christ.”
