Sunshine illuminates. It can burn or warm. Today it does both.
I feel torn between common sense and common decency.
Pretending in the dark. I’m awake now and wish to be asleep.
I can find gratitude anywhere so I can only say thank you for the sunshine.
Oh my gosh Mary Ellen, this is exquisite in its brevity and truth.
My neighbor got evicted. Stuff to the curb . Her screaming and violated. She pleaded and scurried to save some of her possessions. I watched mesmerized with so much empathy I couldn’t breathe. As the trash trucks destroyed the layers of her life I could not look away. But there was sunshine and the sunshine of 30+ years of being my neighbor.
Oh Mary Ellen, I can’t even imagine. Holding you and her in my heart today.
Emotionally a mess today. Thought I had it but it’s breakng through. Keep.praying. I’ll keep working the steps..
Sending you love đź’“
Prayers coming your way.
