Mother’s Day Is Over

Mother’s Day is bittersweet.Turning sadness into sweet memories and forgiveness.

My mother died over twenty years ago. I’m grateful for the time we had together. She was my mentor and my best friend.

Present day is challenging. I would wish to have Sunday dinner, holidays and birthday with the fam. I wonder if those who have togetherness appreciate it. I would.

Grateful for my four. Thank you to each that they thought of me . I am grateful they love me warts and all.

Grateful for Gdaughter or whatever I call her. She is sensitive enough to know that her presence is a great present.

A calendar with pictures of precious Ty. Hope they are enjoying their cruise.

Out to eat Mexican! Checking the dictionary at the back of the menu to make sure what I would order is what I want. Thanks Meg!

I love Mother’s Day cards.(the Queen’s was spot on.The kid’s so sweet.) I  use them as bookmarks . They remind me Mother’s Day goes on.

  1. I know it is hard not having our moms with us Mary Ellen. Mine passed away 31 years ago and I still wish she was here sometimes as I would love to talk with her and hug her. I do have my mother-in-law, however, even though she is out of town. I get to talk with her once a week or so and for that I am grateful.
