Life as a book

All around the house I see things my Gdaughter left behind. A closet full of nonessentials that wouldn’t quite fit. A goldfish bowl on the front porch from the fish who didn’t get to go. Her deodorant. (Hope she has another.)

But I smile because she is going to her next chapter which means I have a new chapter to write too.

Yesterday was long and exhausting but we made it. I even kept my mouth shut and didn’t give uncalled for advice. I got a precious hug! No tears!

I sang badly at choir last night I’m sure but I sang . At the Outreach meeting I laughed -healing laughter.

Looks like today will be perfect weather wise. Perhaps a walk after work. More likely a nap.

I must remember to take the dog on a walk now and then . He gets so excited. Good exercise.

I need to treat myself to a variety of things this weekend. Sadness will dim and the precious time we had together will become a sweet memory.
