Excitement

The dog is trembling as I try to hook his harness. I wish I could be as excited by a walk.

But through his eyes so much to smell and see . We pause while he explores.

A person to bark at. A dog he growls at from across the street.

He is younger this morning. Excited! And I am not huffing and puffing as much as a few weeks ago.

Then I slip his leash and he rolls and rolls. He looks up as if to say “you don’t know what you’re missing!”

He inspires me. Greet the day with excitement. Roll in the grass of life.
