Today is/was my best friend’s birthday. Vicque would have been 42. I still miss her every day. It was the sudden loss of her life that was the catalyst for me to walk away from main stream massage and start focusing on Hospice Massage.
Today I Am Grateful –
- That I was blessed with a friendship with Vicque for 17 years before she died
- That she got me hooked on a shiny show called “Firefly” – she succeeded where my brother had not been able to get me to watch it
- That she got me hooked on a Vanilla Soy Chai Tea Latte (hot or iced) from Starbuck’s
- That I have my way of honoring her twice a year – on her birthday and on her date of death – with her favorite red velvet cupcake and said Starbuck’s drink
- That when I’m really missing her, I turn on Firefly and remember how much she loved this show
- That when I’m really, really missing her I never fail to get a sign from her to let me know she’s still around
