In everything give thanks . As Jan Karon explained the sermon in a phrase I came to deeper understanding of gratitude.
It is not just gratitude selectively but universally.
For things we are touched by and things that touch us. And embraced, gratitude is not separate but inside us.
As a noun ,a verb, an adjective,an adverb and an exclamation.
So no recitation of the assignment of ten things to be grateful for.
But the challenge of things that are difficult but I find grace in.
A death. My life. My health. My marriage. What I do. My choices. Changes. Changing.
Whatever you do today let it in be in an attitude of gratitude.
I love an attitude of gratitude. :)
