Summer’s End

My friend marks the seasons in clusters of three months. . According to him Summer ends September 1st.

To me Summer ends when kids go back to school. My Gson starts today. Sometime today a picture of him will arrive as the first day of middle school.

Gratitude for the many donations of back to school supplies at Church. Urban Vision was happy.

Distribution of Bulldog boxes on Saturday. They are boxes of food and essentials. Hubby said they got back to school things. Bless those who realized the need.

Summer ends when you have to wear a jacket and jeans to watch meteors. What a show last night!

The meeting  schedule at Church has picked up. Our Church never sleeps but is waking up to a new and busy season.

Congregational chats planned for next two Sundays. It’s time to look forward.

In my mind is a sadness for the things we didn’t do this summer but a relief that we really have a month left.

  1. I normally love summer but the older I get, the harder it is to deal with the humidity. This summer was more humid than normal even down near Lake Superior. Lake Superior normally serves as the great air conditional in the summer and keeps us a bit warmer during the winters. I am ready for Fall, however, and the change of colors, the brisk feel when I step out the door, fires in the fire pits, etc.
