Never take a single breath for granted

My sister died yesterday morning. Sunday we celebrated her birthday joyfully.

Wednesday night they called to say she was congested and they were starting her on antibiotics. I expected a miracle!

Thursday morning they said she was worse. I told them to honor her DNR.

Thanks to the nurse that held her hand.

Death was the miracle! She was released from her suffering.

I will miss her. The proof of  a good life is that  someone grieves for you.

I’m grateful for the technology that makes spreading the news.

I’m grateful for the friends who want to do for me.

I will follow the steps and life will return to normal but I will never forget how quickly life can change.

So long Sis!
