As I cleaned her room I realized how many people she loved. Her walls were covered with pictures and newspaper clippings and things she had received.
Twenty two years she was in the Nursing Home. Most she befriended are gone. Most of the staff have moved elsewhere.
Her room mate is devastated. As I hugged her I wished that her new room mate would be nice. She said” I had the best”. Thank you Margaret.
Thanks to the staff that took time to say they would miss her.
So many hugs at Church. The Church service filled a gap as there will be no services.
Thanks to those who helped Tim so I could be part of Trunk or Treat . I had a blast!
However I will honor her and have a private service.
Thanks to Hubby who is my secretary. My rock!
Thank you Valerie for what you have done. The task of notifying is heart wrenching. I love you like a sister my sister.
Thanks Steph who will help me clean out her room.
Thanks Megan who is providing diversion today. I am curious what will we do?
MaryEllen~ I am sad to read of the passing of your sister Nancy. What a beautiful tribute you’ve written here. May you find comfort from your rock, from your friends, and from many, many other nudges, memories, and miracles that will greet you.
I just read this poem and it may give you a tiny measure of comfort: http://afirstsip.blogspot.com/2018/10/in-blackwater-woods.html
Mary Ellen, it is amazing how you can get to know a person on a site like this. I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not know she was in as nursing home all those years. It sounds like she touched many lives. How proud you must be of her.
Helen, thanks for linking that poem. I think that site was referenced here awhile back and I had looked at it. It was nice to see it again.
