Gratitude for Dummies

Reading Carol’s recounting of a dropped lasanga and spilled drinks and laughter makes me realize I’m being much too serious.

Need to recount this week as a comedy routine and start fresh

Phone call from Grand indicates I didn’t mail her something. Dumb!

So I mailed the credit card bill (that was late) without a stamp. Be grateful dummy! You can pay it on the phone. (Bill will come back someday!)

Lost a check? You found the credit card bill. And it was found (three hours later) and deposited.  I felt like a dummy but I learned to be more careful.

By next month I will learn how to pay online and deposit checks too.

Feelings hurt over something insignificant. Criticism makes me feel smaller.

Also found an unopened birthday card. Birthday lasts a little longer.

Forgot a Dr’s appointment. Not crucial but annoying.

Probably no more happened this week than normal but I labeled myself a dummy and got dumber and dumber. If I had labelled myself human would I have laughed.

New week new beginning. New mantra. I am smart. I am capable. I am human.
