In Giving You Receive

There is a story about a man throwing starfish into the sea to save them from the sun. Someone pointed out how he was not able to help them all but he says tossing one ,I made a difference for that one.

Working the distribution at Church feels like that. There is so much to do but we helped some. Forty six families and a few grocery cards.

Amazing we could do it! It was a complicated year. The organization of the distribution was phenomenal. Keep safe. Fast but not rushed.

Over the top generosity.Congregation and community. Volunteers that stepped forward masks on and ready.

And in giving you receive. Smiles, laughter, a glimpse into their lives that makes you grateful for your family and your life.

Awed by the human spirit that people are joyful and grateful even in the most challenging of times.

Love in so many forms. So many combinations of family. Thoughtful gestures.

This is Christmas to me. There is nothing we need only want. So happy and humble to be part of this outpouring called Ingathering.
