Courage Gratitude

1. Not pretending
2. Anger, which drives action
3. Frustration, which reminded me that when I feel powerless to change something, I’m in somebody else’s business, not my own (a la Byron Katie’s line, there’s my business, your business, and God’s business)
4. Acting, not reacting
5. Creativity, which uses emotions instead of denying them
6. Cleansing tears
7. Being okay with being angry
8. Courage to be honest
9. “The root of the word courage is cor—the Latin word for heart. In one of its earliest forms, the word courage literally had a very different definition than it does today. Courage originally meant “To speak one’s mind by telling all one’s heart.” Over time, this definition has actually changed, and today, courage is synonymous with being heroic or performing brave deeds.” – Brene Brown
10. “Use the past as a guide for the future, not an excuse for not dealing with it.” – Patricia Fripp

  1. Excellent words of wisdom, Belle! I’ve realized that being frustrated and disappointed in someone is not “my business” but their business, their choice…it makes it easier to accept while gathering the courage to work it out. Love and Blessings….
