1. What a privilege it is to wake each morning and begin a new day!
2. Felt sad that I had to get another soft cast put on my foot for a fracture, but then saw a man with two of those unwieldy boots on and realized how blessed I am to have one good foot and another one in the healing process.
3. Flew into Denver and then to Bismarck and had wheelchair assistants everywhere who were so nice and kind.
4. I am always glad to get off a plane and get my “real” life back — flying always feels not scary, but like it’s a weird thing to do!
5. Had the best egg salad ever at the Denver airport — with Dijon mustard! I am a mustard person, and to Dijon is my very favorite.
6. There was a man on the first flight who flew into a verbal rage — so lucky not to have people like that yelling at me!
7. Just finished Drama – An Actor’s Life by John Lithgow — fascinating.
8. Found a powerful and amazing book that is so intriguing, I am thinking of doing a book group on it. The Fire Starter Sessions by Danielle LaPorte. (check amazon.com for a peak inside)
9. Danielle talks about how it’s an issue of integrity when we don’t put our sacred ambitions on our weekly calendar. Oh my!
10. Got up at 3 a.m., so I am looking forward to a wonderful night’s sleep — and getting the privilege of starting a new day tomorrow! Hooray!
Carol, glad that you are back home and your foot is healing!
You know how we remember where we were “when” this or that happened? Well, my daughter and I were traveling by car to see my Mom and they were about to announce the O.J. verdict and we were near .. yep .. Bismarck! so we pulled into a Mickey D parking lot. It was an experience shared with many other vehicles and people who had done the same thing for the same reason! Thank you for listing your trip and bringing back some memories!
Stay well!
*hugs* Jean
