1. God
2. John C. saying “faith in negative outcomes”
3. Jennifer – you’re not going to get to seven more years, you’re going to get to dinner – about this day being sufficient and that the resources we need in the future are part of the future, active in the future
4. Tina and Donna helping me with material for Nina’s proposal
5. Library humor, sort of, Renee found an empty beer in the stacks when she was shelving books. I said if we find others they should be cataloged and asked Tina our cataloging librarian to look into it. Jeanette pointed out that it was found in the LD range, which is higher education. Some probably consider potables an essential part of that. Good thing there’s an alcohol education event on campus next week.
6. Jennifer again, rather than berating ourselves for not getting things done at work, subtract from forty hours the number of interruptions encountered and then plan for, say thirty-four hours of work anticipating similar interruptions, while working on boundaries to avoid the latter. A different approach to building error into one’s day.
7. “We’re all normal and we want our freedom”
8. Sometimes just not saying it
9. Finding in the last hour of work the resource I’d given up on, didn’t think it existed.
10. Promise of a new day
