Which reminds me of a story- when I was 12 or so, I was helping my friends do their chores at home. Their mother asked me if I’d dusted the family room yet. It should’ve been done bit wasn’t, so I said “no, not yet.” She tilted her head back and sighed (and I thought I was in big trouble) but she said, “Crystal your honesty is refreshing.” I thought that was so strange…in my house if I lied about something like that the punishment would’ve been severe!
