Sitting facing west as the sun slips down behind the trees
Black mint sun tea in Ball jars on the front patio
Taking extra care of my baby today- sorry she’s not feeling good, grateful for the extra closeness and hugs
Helping my husband dig up boxwoods…he is so powerfully strong
My 16-month old daughter puts her shoes on by herself- all day long, even before bed
Quinoa chickpea salad with fresh cilantro from the garden (though my garden is more a series of pots while we ready the big raised bed…hence digging boxwoods)
Peace that asks nothing, needs nothing
Being content with what is
“Suffering makes you feel safe because you know it so well. But there is really no reason to suffer. The only reason you suffer is because you choose to suffer. If you look at your life you will find many excuses to suffer, but a good reason to suffer you will not find. The same is true for happiness. The only reason you are happy is because you choose to be happy. Happiness is a choice, and so is suffering.” -Don Miguel Ruiz

That sounds so lovely. All of it. I agree with Jean. :) Sorry Ava’s not feeling well, but how grown up she’s getting with her shoes. Nothing like fresh mint in tea.
Being content with what is… Something so simple that few people can do. Love imagining Ava taking her shoes off, and putting them back on, all day. Such an accomplishment for a 16 month old! Hope she is much better today!
