Monday

1. My All-American pressure canner…We canned our first green beans!

2. Making the best of a bad situation…Logan and I got rained out of the farmers market, but with the help of local businesses he was able to sell his cookies.

3. It is so nice to experience the good that people do, after experiencing the not so good.

4. Lessons learned…It is painful to see Logan learning how icky grown adults can be, but it strengthens our relationship and gives me a chance to set a good example. Having him watch so closely puts the brakes on my urge to be ugly, even though I really want to!

5. Finding realistic solutions and waiting for the universe to give the green light

6. Acceptance

7. Cooler temperatures and less humidity…What a relief!

Happy Birthday <3

1. Logan…My one and only sweet, sweet baby turned 11 years old today. Where does the time go?

2. All that we have been through together…constantly learning and growing <3

3. He is such a sweet and amazing boy. I am so blessed!

4. His good friend, Preston came to spend a couple days and nights with us. He lives about an hour away, so they don't see each other very often.

5. He had just a few friends over for pizza and cupcakes. :)

6. Seeing him so happy…

7. Last night the boys were chatty for a long time after they went to bed, but tonight they crashed right out!

8. I am going to crash right out, too!

9. Looking forward to a couple of days of it being just the two of us…

10. Enjoying big and small things with him…I am so grateful that I have been able to stay home with him since birth.

Thursday…

1. The way things happen the way they are supposed to…Due to an unreliable roofer (which I was initially unhappy about) we were home yesterday to save our basement from water and to save our garden. Our corn was blown over in a very strong storm that came through. Today we will work on standing it all back up.

2. A dry forecast. We have a leaky porch roof, an old basement, and an over saturated garden. We could really use some drying out!

3. After the storm passed, Logan and I took the dog for a walk. I am so grateful that the above issues are our only ones…The storm was quite destructive. There were downed trees and power lines, all very close to home. The very large trees surround our house and our neighbors houses are all intact.

4. I’m so glad that our Sugaree was home with us and not at the doggie hotel, scared and alone. <3

5. Text messaging to update my mom on our status and to hear how they were weathering the storm, in their neck of the woods.

6. We did not lose power!

7. Logan's sense of humor and the way he comforts me when I'm feeling anxious…

8. Sugaree is also in touch with my emotions and seems to know when I need comfort.

9. Procrastinating…I work better under pressure! LOL

10. One hour photo
