Happy Anniversary!

1.  Congratulations to Crystal Belle on the five year anniversary of her gratitude websites!

4.  Grandson, Nate, had another basketball game in a tournament today — winning!

5.  I would be proud even if Nate’s team didn’t win because they try so hard.

9.  Gas prices keep going down — weird but wonderful!

Wow! A New Year!

1.  A whole new year to play with!  Yippee yo yo YO!

2.  Actually, every day is a new day to play with!  Hooray!

3.  And then there are all the new hours to play with!

4.  Watching my grandson Nate’s basketball game, which they won with a lot of excitement!

5.  Seeing neighbors from my childhood (a LONG time ago!) — wonderful!

6.  “Twilight Zone” marathon!!

8.  Getting a physical therapist for my foot!

9.  Starting a new counted cross stitch pillow — how fun!

10.  blooming amaryllis in the Winter!

Happy Happy New Year!

1.  to new beginnings!!

2.  my New Year’s resolution:  to relax and enjoy!  (often I relax, but then think of what I should be doing instead)

3.  a Twilight Zone marathon

4.  sauerkraut and sausage — yummers!

5.  spending New Year’s Eve with my wonderful husband

6.  having a new Mary Engelbreit appointment calendar to list the best of each day

7.  getting physical therapy for my foot and a new podiatrist – maybe I can get back to my beloved walking routines!

8.  feeling utter amazement for the blessings of family and friends

9.  realizing, that for me, depression is giving up when I am overwhelmed — now that I know that, I can counter that will positive action plans!

10.  one of my best action plans is this wonderful community of grateful people — thank you!

 

 

Daily Gratitudes!

1.  getting through the holidays even though our house is all torn up

2.  we have a new hardwood floor in the kitchen

3.  but the contents of the kitchen are spread out all over the house

4.  no decorations, no tree, no worries!

5.  my husband, Tom and I, luckily are so companionable

6.  going to usher at Tuba Christmas on Saturday – LOTS and LOTS of tubas!

7.  Christmas Show at Unity Chapel of Light on Friday night

8.  singing along to Christmas Carols on the radio in my car every day

9.  taking my grandsons to see the new “Night in the Museum” movie

10.  Christmas:  love, family, friends, music, generosity, sharing, compassion, spirituality

Thanksgiving Gratitudes!

1.  Making a fruit Turkey Platter — fun, fun, FUN!

2.  Watching the Macy’s parade — fun, fun, FUN!

3.  Celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary with 44 kisses — fun, fun, FUNNEST!

4.  Going over to our son and daughter-in-law’s house for a wonderful Thanksgiving gathering.

5.  Getting a magical, custom-made surprise — the opening words to “O Holy Night” painted on canvas with real sparkly lights!!  Thank you, TaDa!  It is just fabulous!

6.  Being with family on Thanksgiving is the best!

7.  Taking turns saying what we’re grateful for — it turns out that we are ALL grateful for each other!

8.  Doing needlework while the rest of the crew watched football.

9.  Eating M & Ms for a snack because I hadn’t eaten enough food earlier!!  lol

10.  So very thankful for this life, friends and family, food and shelter, and to be able to give as well as receive!

Grateful for the Akron Marathon!

9.  admiring the energy and determination of all the runners

I am energy absorbent, so even though I got up at 6:30 a.m., I have had wild energy all day long just from being in the midst of so much incredible endurance and energy.  Thank you runners!

1.  Loved Crystal’s quote by her friend, Sally – it’s never a lack of resources, it’s a lack of resourcefulness.

2.  I loved it because today I finally started an online art course for which I had bought a LOT of resources, but was wildly procrastinating getting into a real beginning with.

3.  #2 is a really weird sentence, but I am grateful that there are no rules here about making sense!  ha ha ha

4.  Being with my fabulous grandsons after school today.

5.  Leading a laughing circle at a social center tomorrow morning.

6.  Skyping tomorrow afternoon with my friend Janet, who is also my creativity coach.  She is full of fun and wisdom!  Hooray!

7.  Sitting at my kitchen table which is in wild disarray from my art project.  Yippee yo yo YO!

8.  Getting my wonderful Subaru, “Molly Also”, washed today.  How blessed I am to have such snazzy transportation.

9.  Our book group is reading “Untethered Soul” by Michael Singer — we love it so much, we might read it over again.  In our club, we read page by page together and discuss whenever we are moved.
