Morning Gratitudes

1.  waking up with laughter

4.  cream colored orchids with purple accents — oh my!

5.  a crispy bowl of cereal

6.  looking for good news in the morning paper

7.  thinking of the day to come

8.  the sound of a lawnmower — Spring is really here!

9.  planning some adventures

10.  thank you for this day of new beginnings!

 

Grateful for Little League!

1.  It’s baseball season again!  Hooray!

2.  Two grandsons on teams!  Yippee!

3.  Sitting in the sunshine and watching kids play their hearts out!

4.  At one game, Nate was pitching for the Reds and it wasn’t going well — sad face out there . . .

5.  But then tonight, Nate pitched again, and struck those batters out — one, two three!  Smiling pitcher!

6.  Andrew is on the Orioles, a younger team, and so fun to watch — always surprises.

7.  The Orioles is sponsored by “The Black Keys”!  They’re from Akron and there’s a friendship connection.  Yahoo!

8.  My son and husband coach both teams, so it’s fun to watch them too.

9.  Many years ago, my husband coached my son, Kevin and daughter, Maribeth.  Wowzers!

10.  Oh yes, Nate got two home runs tonight too!

 

Very Thankful!

1.  Took my grandson, Andrew, out to a park on Sunday

2.  It was heaven to spend time alone, very affectionate an conversational

3.  He did some wonderful sketching by a pond — ducks, fish, and pine trees

4.  He even asked if I would draw a frog for him!  Yippee yo yo YO!

5.  Then we took a hike through the woods

6.  Now I am looking forward to taking my other grandson, Nate, for an adventure

7.  Going to do a webinar in June on gratitude — easy, fun, important subject!

8.  And I will be doing a presentation on fun at the end of the month

9.  Today my Island Girls and I will be celebrating our Linda’s birthday — she is a treasure in this world for sure!

10.  Still coordinating with my creativity coach, and it is making a lot of difference — hooray!

So Many Gratitudes!

1.  a sunny, Spring day — yippee yo yo YO!

2.  our book group — lots of laughter, shared stories, and ideas

3.  my new orchids — just add ice!

4.  spending the night at my Dad’s

9.  my daughter knitting ruffled scarves and selling them

10.  joining Weight Watchers tomorrow morning — hooray!

Grateful for Spring

1.  The first day of Spring is tomorrow!

2.  Time for the Annual Dance of Spring

3.  A new addition — Mimosas because it will only be about 30 degrees, and we will need some antifreeze!

4.  Delicious cookies

5.  Various teas

6.  Cheese and crackers

7.  Fresh flowers

8.  Scarves to wave as we dance around the old maple tree

9.  Headbands with felt petals — we’re petal heads!

1.  my church, Unity Chapel of Light

2.  music at my church

3.  friendships which bloom at Unity

4.  wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day

5.  memories of green beer in my younger youth

6.  CBS Sunday Morning News

7.  fun and flowery socks

8.  my amazing Dad who is almost 96

9.  my wonderful daughter Maribeth

Grateful for Great Food!

1.  olive bruschetta

2.  rose black tea (there are little rosebuds in it – how  cute is that?

3.  Greek pitza from Aladdin’s

4.  grapes, especially big ones

5.  kale with ginger sesame dressing

6.  cashews

7.  potato chips and dip (one of my favorite comfort foods, rarely eaten)

8.  champagne for celebration

9.  hot fudge sundaes

10.  orange juice

Grateful for this Life!

1.  Starting another oral history with my 95 year old Dad

2.  Hearing about when he was born, his grandparents, and his childhood.

3.  My Dad is so precious to me.  I adore spending time with him.

4.  Getting an oral surgeon’s appointment over with today.

5.  I put a list of people who love me in my pocket to give me confidence and courage to get through the appointment.

6.  Making appointments with friends for tea and visiting.

7.  Still enjoying chocolate from Valentine’s Day.  Thank you, Tom.

8.  Watching my grandson Nate playing basketball with his team on the University of Akron’s basketball court in a huge gymnasium.  He got a 3 point shot!

9.  Signing up to do a bird count.

10.  Finding out about a free trombone concert.
