4.   Long and wild earrings that cheerfully bounce off your neck.

5.   Just the right purse that will accept the challenge of my busy days.

6.   Bodacious rings that are bold and wonderful.

7.   Bracelets — charm bracelets especially!

8.   Colorful winter mufflers — adding some brightness to cold and gray days.

9.   Clothes that have stood the test of time and come out of retirement for an encore presentation!  Hooray!

10.  Getting a compliment on a thrift store treasure — just found a dark purple suede jacket!  Wow!

Friendship Gratitudes

1.  Friends are terrific!

2.  They’re fun to have adventures with —

3.  And to do creative things together.

4.  Isn’t it great to talk over a problem with a friend?

5.  And know that you will get full attention and loving feedback?

6.  Sometimes just thinking about a friend is enough to put some happy in your life!

7.  Every once in a while  you meet someone that you feel like you’ve known for a long, long time.  How cool is that?

8.  Going to an event with a friend is always fun — a movie, a concert, a play.

9.  The simple things are wonderful, too — talking on the phone, taking a walk, going for ice cream.

10.  Friendships come in all shapes and sizes, but they are always a celebration of the best two people have to offer!  Hooray for friends!

Grateful for . . .

1.   getting introduced to “tapping”, which is a wonderful alternative healing style

2.  dinner with Paparoonio and husband Tom last night

3.  yummy chicken and rice leftovers

4.  the morning glory that burst forth at eye level

5.  the Zentangle challenge this week, which is sunflowers! see iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com and click on the names to see the early entries

6.  finding a tape I did with my sister, Barbara, at Martha’s Vineyard with her telling about her childhood — she has been gone for over three years now, and this will be the only record of her voice!

7.  discovering a photograph of a sunflower I had entered in a contest many years ago, and framing it the next day!

8.  the process of sorting and organizing to get ready for moving my office and art studio home — many treasures are being unearthed!

9.  the photographs of my husband as a darling child!  Oh my!

10.  this life of new beginnings, choices, opportunities, and possibilities!

Hooray for Gratitude!

1.  Sitting at Angel Falls Coffee Shop in Akron, Ohio on a Monday morning

2.  With my cup of rose tea

3.  Being greeted by a friend of mine upon arrival

4.  my laptop set up on the chess table

5.  Writing in my journal at 750words.com

6.  Coming up with new fun things to do

7.  What if you were stranded on a desert island and thought you had lost everything forever, but you got rescued.  Then you got your house, car, clothes, and everything back!  And you could be reunited with everyone you love!  How great would that be?  Just spend a while thinking about that, and spend your day in appreciation for everyone and everything you have!  Wow!

8.  Choose a day to declare a holiday for yourself.  I am going to make a holiday jar with strips of paper including an iTunes holiday where I am going to transfer lots of CDs into my iTunes accounts; a reading day where I am going to read at home, at the library, at the park – wherever I want, for as long as I want; a day for doing whatever I want.  Then I can use my holiday jar as a reward or a stress reliever.  Hooray!

9.  Just had a marvelous conversation with a friend — she is a power friend, the kind that words together are always empowering!  Yippee!

10.  Sometimes a morning is so terrific that it is almost embarrassing to continue the day — as if you have already used up your fun points early!  Thank you to the Dispenser of All Fun Points for this Amazing Day!

Fall Gratitudes

1.  Those perfect days where the temperature is just right, the sky is blue, the air is crisp, and it just feels special.

2.  Keeping a close eye on the trees as they do their magic leaf colororama!

3.  The depth of the tree lines change in the Fall — so much more dimensional with all the color.

4.  Walking in crunchy leaves — scuff, scuff, scuff, stomp, stomp, stomp!

5.  Playing in crunchy leaves with kids — even better!

6.  Last year I threw myself down into a whole pile of leaves in front of our house — my daughter was just shaking her head.  Can’t let your age stand in the way of a good time!

7.  Going for a walk and finding a gorgeous leaf on the ground and holding it for the rest of the walk.

8.  Getting out your colored pencils and trying to reproduce that leaf — it makes you appreciate the artistry of nature and also gets you right into the incredible number of colors that can be contained in one leaf.

9.  Being so grateful for the seasons — they seem to be part of the ebb and flow of my life, too.

10.  Thank you, God, Mother Nature, and the Universe, for this amazing life and all it’s wonder!

Exuberant Fall Day

1.  Oh the fabulousness of a crisp, sunny, blue sky Fall day!

2.  Thank you Mother Nature for all your millions of miracles!

3.  The morning glories are starting to disappear, oh but the memories will last all winter (and the morning glory photographs will help!)

4.  There were weeds in my fairy rock garden I usually pull, but one got really tall, bent over a corner of the garden and burst forth with tiny white flowers!  Woweee!

5.  I did some of my work out on the balcony in the sunshine, looking at the changing leaves.

6.  I am determined to have lots and lots of fun and good memories here in the last weeks of my office space and art studio.

7.  Working hard at our house to make room for office and an art studio space there.

8.  All these changes are making me feel so grateful for the over two years I have had in my sacred space, a special time to remember always.

9.  I am so glad to be doing the moving process before Winter hits .

10.  I do feel exuberant — just like this happy Fall day!

10.  Hope seems to come and go, but in reality — it is always there!  It is up to us to cultivate it in every way we can.
