The Island Girls

The Island Girls are coming for dinner on Monday!

Did my kitchen floor and shopping today

I have to make tea sandwiches – I just can’t stop myself

They are bringing wine, appetizers, and dessert

I don’t know if this will be a logical dinner or not!

I think it will be more fun in the mystery!

P.S. One day, many years ago, Linda, Kathy, Rose, and I went to Kelley’s Island in Lake Erie. We rented a golf cart and laughed and laughed as we be-bopped all over the island. That is why we are the Island Girls!

This is a good day!

Yesterday I had the blues. I could have napped on and off all day long.

When I woke up this morning, I looked at my nightgown and saw flamingos.

Then I decided that it would be a good day.

All day long when I started to negatively drift, I said to myself – this is a good day.

I have rarely experienced a turnaround this fast.

Redirecting my negative thoughts in an uncomplicated and nonjudgmental way was a miracle to me.

This is a good day, indeed!

Lots of Gratitude!

Thank You for Barbie!

It’s been a fun Barbie week!

Went to see the “Barbie” movie with Dottie and Mary Ellen

Took my commemorative Barbie doll to watch the movie with us!

Wore a pink gingham shirt to match my Barbie doll’s dress

Took photos with the poster

Lots of moviegoers had pink on and Barbie T-shirts

Yesterday I went to see the movie for the second time with David, Rose, and Maribeth (daughter)

I even liked it better the second time, so did my Barbie doll

There’s a surprise ending, but that’s all I am saying!

Vacation Memories

A Zoom meeting this morning with our writing group. What an honor to share our love of writing with each other. Because of this group, sometimes the floodgates of writing open for me. Wowzers!

Lunch with my friend Barb – 2 1/2 hours, a true girlfriend lunch!

Ate at Turtle Restaurant in Sarasota for lunch and for dinner. Our favorite dining place!

Dinner with some of our family and beach buddies. We had the same waitress (Catherine) as Barb and I had at lunch – efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable – who could ask for more?

“Big Bang Theory” on TV with Tom. Ever since I read an oral history about it, I have become somewhat of a fanatic about about watching it because I have inside information! ha ha ha ha

Beginning the day with writing and ending it with writing too! Having this much writing time has been amazing. When I get home, I will have to make time for this word nerd’s writing practice!
