  • Wait….what?!…this is June, right?  That was my reaction 2 days ago when looking at the online newspaper and seeing a red strip that warned “Winter Weather Advisory”…
  • ….yes, there was snow at the higher elevations…GPa said he didn’t know if he should water the lawn or shovel the walk LOL
  • This morning I had great exercise and fresh air….picked up 425 pine cones…this time I decided to count them…who needs a gym when you have a pine tree :)
  • A long conversation with my granddaughter and I’m good to go
  • Yesterday we were without water in our area for a day…what habits we have reaching for water!
  • Bless the people who make those repairs!
  • A grateful Blessing for GPa who received a full bill of health that his heart is 100% well

  • Congratulations and celebration for gson’s♥ college graduation…
  • …next day more celebration for Mother’s Day♥…
  • …great fun with family and friends…some traveling from other states
  • My periwinkle hydrangeas and yellow tulips
  • Signs of Spring … our neighbors’ lovely pink tree blossoms… and fragrant lilacs
  • A dozen antelopes crossing the road in front of us as we traveled to celebration
  • Boat fishing…and catching:) 
  • Finally had our studded snow tires removed :)
  • GPa mowing the lawn with his new mower….first cut of year so grass was fairly high
  • CJ’s new pied a terre
  • You may have seen this Tibetan Proverb:  “The secret to living well and longer: eat half, walk double, laugh triple, love without measure.”

  • What a blessing to view the spectacular sunrises over the mountains…
  • …the gorgeous hues of yellow, beige, orange
  • GPa fishing with David on his new boat…
  • …caught some beautiful Rainbow Trout…
  • …love when they jump out of the water with a zzziiinnnggg
  • Road trip this week with Cathy …. always fun ♥
  • Lunch at Olive Garden, one of my fave places
  • Observing  2-yr.-old ggdaughter walk, talk, eating with gusto…
  • …she loves her gma’s horses and understands the rule that “if you’re old enough to ride, you’re old enough to carry your own tack” as she walks along with helmet in hand LOL
  • ….she also loves to ski…..did I say she was 2! Two! 2!?  OMG, I’m learning a lot :)
  • Wonderful phone visit with my cousin from Houston, TX…love hearing her voice. 
  • Grateful blessing to Sarah at MT Internet who, again, helped with email, etc…..she is very patient and calm, even for the hour it takes.

  • Remembering those days of Spring weather a week ago …
  • …then a day of snow and more snow…
  • …wet and heavy snow perfect for snowballs/snowmen:)
  • Our tv went out due to the snow storm but came back on after several hours
  • Now enjoying beautiful Spring days of sunshine and warmth
  • Smiling with optimism putting our snow boots away :)
  • Earth Day yesterday…raked the lawn of its zillions of pine needles

  • Our son-in-law’s brother passed away on Good Friday
  • A loving tribute and funeral for him today
  • So many people filled the church that extra seats needed to be added.
  • He had a 30 yr. career with the government and even then, and when he retired, he modestly contributed his time and many talents, one of which included crafting stained glass windows for the church.
  • He and his wife were married 54 years and each year on their wedding anniversary he would give her a red rose…she had 54 red roses at the church to honor that.
  • One of my favorite hymns, “Morning Has Broken”

  • Easter egg hunt on Mount Helena…
  • …children in their warm jackets and boots scooping up the
  • multitudes of many colors of eggs on the white snow.
  • GPa says perhaps we have a mini ice age :)
  • Interesting: The Montana Club in Helena was established in the 1880’s and is the oldest continually operating private club west of the Missouri River…and has been at the same location for 110 years.
  • Smiles from this:  Dear Winter, I’m breaking up with you. I think it’s time I start seeing other seasons.  Summer is hotter than you.
