About Ruth

I am married to Dave, my long lost love. We have 3 beautiful, wonderful daughters, and a home filled with peace and joy! I began writing gratitude lists about 15 years ago, and they have made a huge difference in my life. By taking the time to notice all the amazing goodness in my life, I open myself to receiving even more good. I've also found many new and wonderful friends through the gratitude community.

Winter Warmth

1. Thinking of all the wonderful holiday memories as I put away the Christmas ornaments and decorations.

2.  Sitting quietly with my husband, feeling content and loved.

3.  Enjoying the warmth of our home, while enjoying the wintry view from our back door.

4.  Glad to live so close to the local dairy, where I can get fresh butter, eggs and milk each week.

5.  Especially grateful for the delicious ice cream that is made at that nearby dairy!!  :D

6.  So happy for the email conversations I have with my sister, helping us to feel a part of each other’s daily lives.

7.  Very grateful that my youngest daughter is feeling better after a bout with the flu!

8.  Excited for my oldest daughter’s new opportunities on her job and in her life!

9.  Marveling at the unique patterns formed by the combination of light, shadow, snow, trees and railings.

10. Savoring the warm and comfortable feeling of being back “at home” with my gratitude community.  Hooray!!
