My eldest daughter

I am very grateful for having my eldest daughter.

She turned 10 this summer. She is smart, loving and beautiful! She’s a great kid.

It makes me happy that she absolutely loves family vacations. They don’t have to be fancy, she just likes spending time and going on adventures together.

It makes me happy that she fell in love with playing soccer this summer. Not only is she a great player, I can see that she gained confidence because she was part of a team.

I makes me happy that she’s fallen in love with synchronized swimming again.

I’m so grateful that she is a wonderful big sister too. She really cares for her younger sis.

I’m so grateful that she likes spending time with me and wants to talk with me so often.

I’m grateful that she is a good kid, who listens to her parents and she never gets in trouble at school.

I’m grateful that she tries hard in school.

I’m grateful that she has good friends to play with.

I’m grateful for her good health.

I’m grateful that she loves me and that I get to love her.

Thank you God for this absolutely wonderful gift, that we get to call out daughter!

Meeting today

Thanks for making my meeting with my boss’ boss go well today! It was previously stressing me out but I got passed that. I prepared for it a little and let the universe take care of the rest.

I thought he was a scary guy before but turns out he’s very nice and I learned a lot from him today too. We both left the meeting feeling good.

Here’s to many more great interactions with him and other people!

My friends

I am so thankful for the friends I have in my life! I am blessed to still have contact with friends from elementary school, high school, college, and the 4 jobs I’ve had over the last 20 years! In all cases, I still see these wonderful people at least a few times per year and in some cases way more than that.

My main gang: they are a mix of friends from elementary school, high school and college. They are a kind and amazing group. Most of them have become dads just like me and are fantastic fathers. While we don’t see each other as often as we’d like, I know that they are always there for me and I’d do anything for them! They make me laugh, they make me smile, they make me happy. They are smart and successful, which keeps me striving to also do well. They are all ethical and accepting of people who aren’t exactly like them. They are good people and I love calling them friends. We have so much history together, it’s a lot of fun sometimes to just chat about the past.

I can still call some of my colleagues from each of my last 4 jobs friends, whom I still see a few times a year. In all cases I love the fact that when I do get to see them we pick up right where we left off and always have a great time! They are such good people, I love seeing how they have grown in their careers and personal lives. I especially enjoy getting together and laughing all evening!

In the last few years, we’ve also become friends with some of our neighbors. It’s crazy how well we get along. They are fun loving just like my wife and I. We get together from time to time and always have a blast! Our kids play with each other which helps out a lot.

I am so grateful for having all these fantastic people in our lives. It really makes life fun and gratifying!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!

Wedding anniversary!

Today is our 14th anniversary. I am so grateful for these 14 years! The time just flew by:

The birth of our children! :)  Raising these little darlings with you has been awesome.

The trips we’ve taken, always fun. I’m especially grateful for the year we spent in Barbados.

The challenging times that we conquered together, including bouncing back when we both lost our jobs just months before our wedding.

The triumphs, including the house we paid off together

The friends we’ve made along the way

The dreams we realized together

Just sitting and talking to you always feels good. I often need to bounce ideas and share feelings with you. Thanks for being there

Now our parents have gotten older. I know this will bring new challenges into our lives, I’m just glad I have you by my side as we navigate this next chapter together

For those of you reading this far into my post, I just want to say that I am so grateful for this site. It gives me an amazing outlet to share my gratitude for all the great things in my life

Happy anniversary Angela!

Thanks for family

Thanks for giving me such a great family!

Thanks for my wonderful wife Angela! Thanks for our loving daughters. Together, these 3 ladies make my world perfect!

Thanks for my brother, sister and the best parents in the world. They care so much for me and I care for them like crazy too.

Thanks for my aunt, uncles and cousins. I don’t see them as often as I should. They are great.

Thanks for the best in-laws I can ask for. They are so helpful and kind. They do wonders for my kids and give us so much amazing food and show their love for us everyday. They also watch our kids often so my wife and I can go on a date from time to time. It’s great!

Thanks for the best job in the world!

This is my first post on this wonderful site.

I’d like to offer gratitude for having:

A job where I am treated well! A job in the sports analytics field working as a Director of Product Management (my dream job!). And, it’s not just a job but a career. I plan to stay here for a long time!

My amazing team! We get along so well and have incredible respect for each other!

My amazing boss! She respects what I have to say, trusts my work and how I manage my team. I am involved in the company’s business and product strategy, and team strategy too.

My salary and total compensation package are fantastic, including bonus, options and indoor parking. Work is going so well that I keep getting salary bumps and promotions.

In return for all the fantastic things that come with this job, I’m working really hard and really smart to over deliver and really add value to the company and to our customers. In addition, I’m trying to be the best manager to my team by truly caring for them, their happiness and their careers.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this wonderful job!
