’tis the season

  1. Feeling festive
  2. Trimmed the tree…lots of sparkling lights
  3. Memories with so many of the cherished ornaments
  4. Foil angels made by our children in grade school
  5. The red felt tree skirt with a white snowball edging and with stars and candy canes, all made by the children many years ago
  6. The rustic sign from my Texas relative, displayed on our deck, “Merry Christmas Y’all”
  7. Our 5a.m. newspaper delivered at 8a.m. today…press problems…
  8. …grateful for our very nice and reliable newspaper carrier of a number of years…
  9. …and all of the newspaper carriers who begin their “day” in the middle of the night so that we all can have early morning paper delivery.

  2. We’ve probably all had that dream where we are running and not seeming to get anywhere…as if it’s in slow motion…
  3. …that’s what happened as I began my agenda for the day…everything I tried to do was met with a stop sign.
  4. Hmmm…what would our sage shero Belle suggest to overcome this feeling of being lost in a jungle?…
  5. …I’m taking my machete and whacking my way through each and every entanglement…
  6. …Whew, whack..chop..whack…ah, a clearing, and another
  7. Ah! Some of the items I had to change turned into better decisions!
  8. Stumbling blocks can be stepping stones for good.

Mother Nature

  1. For several hours, a few evenings ago, tens of thousands of snow geese danced across our snowy sky before finding the current they wanted and then disappeared to the south…a spectacular display by Mother Nature!
  2. Snow snow snow!
  3. Grateful for our efficient road crews who have many of the roads sanded very early in the morning
  4. We’re out and about in the snow storm…well, it’s where we live :)
  5. Careful drivers
  6. Replacing windshield wipers
  7. 4×4 vehicles
  8. Snow tires
  9. Bundling up…baby it’s cold outside :)

Best Friends…

  1. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (google it)…
  2. …a wonderful place for animals who, for whatever reason, need a home…they are adopted or can live there for the rest of their lives…it’s a no kill place.
