About Karen Teig

I am a 58 year old Native Minnesotan. I work as a Storekeeper at a local hospital here in town. I have been sober since April 18, 1982 and have not smoked since September 8, 2005. I am a Born Again Christian who loves Jesus and am grateful for each day I wake up. Life is really what I make of it, with few exceptions. God always has a plan.

A new day

1.  A beautiful and sunny day.

2.  The Chance to pay respects to my 106 year old neighbor who died on May 27.

3.   Love in all its forms.

4.  My son and dog, Jax.

5.  My church and God.

6.  My family and friends.

7.   A.A.

Just grateful!

1.   People who can share their gratitude through the ups and downs of life.

2.   The fresh air as I stepped outside to let my dog Jax out.

3.    Being on vacation, being able to wake up pet my dog Jax, and lay back down and read from my Kindle as long as I want.

4.    My awesome son.  What a great young man he has grown into.

5.    Another sober 24 hours.

6.    That I know through my grief I will grow One Day At A Time.

Thankful for peace

Today I am thankful for:

1.  Peace.

2.   My family and friends.

3.   Having vacation time.

4.   My dog, Jax.

5.   Time to think and plan.

6.   That although she passed away yesterday, I was blessed to have known my 106 year old neighbor the last several years of her life.  R.I.P.  Charlotte!
