Black Friday (Add Some Light)

Never have been one for the Christmas Frenzy. Yes its a month away but go slow and absorb it. Wonderful vs Out of control!

Following up with one friend who emoticon was tears. Cyber hugs and a listening ear!

Never shop on Black Friday nothing is that important.

Simple Christmas full of laughter and togetherness is all I want.

Enjoyed seeing pictures of Vivi as a  turkey. (I wonder if she liked the hat. My kids hated them!)

Invited on a hike which I declined. Glad to be able to say no and not feel guilty.

Laundromats when you have six or seven loads to do. Better still that Hubby did them.

I think its sweet that my two thirds grown Grand son wants his holiday traditions. Do it cheerfully Mom!

Coays!untdown to Christmas begins but not quite yet. Think I’ll be officially grateful a few more d

Grateful To Be

Grateful to be here and though I have some complaints I have someone to tell them to.

I like to talk and I don’t listen as well as I should. Grateful I can hear as much as I can.

Grateful to have work done for now. Grateful for my recliner and my rest time.

Thankful for those who come to help. They never question my direction. Glad to have ability to lead.Grateful for my friends!

Grateful when things fall into place. One kitchen at Church. Two meals tomorrow. One refrigerator but we manage.

The sunshine is setting the world aglow right now. It is cold and I’m grateful to be warm.

Grateful to be home. Grateful to be of service. Grateful to be!

Ordinary >Extraordinary

Sometimes we don’t realize what we take for granted other people would be impressed with. I am grateful for all I have!

I have a house, two cars, a credit card and enough money to get by. Blessed is enough!

Hubby is my companion. He puts up with my quirks. He is mine!

My friend wrote about her husband just a regular guy who looking closer was spectacular. Get well Tom!

Thankful for quiet days. Calm nights. The ordinary.

Sometimes I wish for more but I am content.

My ordinary is extraordinary.

Cold November Day

Grateful to be inside today. I sense the snow coming. I want to hunker down.

Nothing I have to go out for. There’s safety in that.

Feeling the need to reach out and check in with my circle.

Potato soup in the crock pot. Yes I will share! (After the storm)

No snowflakes but it is cold. Grateful for socks and heater.

Good day to read. Or nap. Or text.Or think of what I’m grateful for!

Asking for prayer for a friend’s husband and my friend.

Stay warm!

Good Decisions

Grateful to be able to change my mind and simplify the casseroles I’m making for Sunday meal give away.

I was agonizing over finding just the right recipe for turkey tetrazinni (13 ingredients) when I remembered a simple recipe for a chicken casserole. (4 ingredients). Easier sounds good!

Saving money. Saving time and yet feeding the hungry delicious food. Now they get a dinner roll.

Keeping our own Thanksgiving simple. Basics means we are grateful with no frills meal.

Achey so know I need to rest a bit. No swimming is a good decision.

Time to organize my shopping list. I’m thinking 20 cans of cream of chicken soup!

Coffee and breakfast. Include some fresh fruit. Take care of yourself so you can do for others.

Make good decisions today!

I Can Wait For Christmas

Choose to remain in the grateful season while others are rushing to Christmas.

Your tree is beautiful but its too early. Pause and reflect on grateful.

So many wishes for my birthday. Thank you everyone.

I have a witch with a snowman hanging on her shoe. That feels about right.

Snowflakes. Even nature betrays me but makes me grateful I am warm.

Happy mid November . Thaw your turkey and plan the meal!

What I love is an eclectic blend whether it is food or music or interests.

I am a wordsmith . I’m not afraid to express myself.

Grateful for all the things that make ME me.

Since early morning people have been texting and posting in my honor.

Happy Birthday to ME! I choose to be happy today!

Grateful To See

Grateful to see. So much to see.

Selective. I choose to see the joy not the dust.

Then I can read. And read what I write. Read what others write  ( I keep my cards and use them as bookmarks)

Grateful to see color even as Fall approaches there is color everywhere. The sunshine Brings things to light.

Look at everything. Look at one thing.

Bless my baby blues. Eye Dr appointment soon. Grateful to the doctor and nurses.

Oh say can you see and are you grateful for it?

Blue Heart

The blue heart emoji stands for brotherhood. Many used it as a symbol of Republican leanings. Now the day after the election it symbolizes the sadness when your candidate wasn’t chosen.

But we live in a democracy. There is freedom to choose and disagree.Grateful to be able to vote.Laughing that my Hubby and I cancelled each other out.

First face to face meeting last night at Church. Good to see people. One attended via my speaker phone. Accomplishment and fellowship and aligning our service to need.

Get well Al! Get some rest Donna. Bless all the worker bees!

My mood is melancholy today but I am grateful the sun is shining.Incredibly we have petunias still blooming. They don’t know it’s November.

Squeezing a hike in this afternoon for Hiking Spree. Striding through the leaves puts things into perspective. Good friend means good conversation. Never know what we’ll talk about.

Wonderful pictures of the blood moon eclipse. Sorry if I mentioned it before but when you are looking up it keeps you from feeling down.

The universe is unfolding as it should.

Grateful for people with a sense of humor. Shared laughter.

Listening to the sweet children you can dial up for encouragement. Press 4 to hear children laughing!

Manwich left out overnight. Its not a crisis but makes me appreciate what we have.

Hunting for a paper I need for a meeting but realizing its not worth obsessing about.

A picture of Vivi. So often I’m thinking about my granddaughter and a picture appears. Telepathic.

Election Day. Was impressed to see one business say we’ll open at noon so employees can vote.

Many pictures of the eclipse. I admire their dedication.
