Packing treat boxes to mail for a couple of dozen people at Church. Cookies and candy and a message that you’re remembered. (How did we think of so many?)

Allowing myself to remain calm when I AM right. Grateful to be in control. Thankful to let it go.

Beautiful day. Window open. Soaking up sunshine (and moonshine)

Thinking about Thanksgiving. Not just a day but a way of life.

Busy week coming up grateful to have the stamina to do what I want to.

All is well. All are well! All good!

An Extra Hour

Everyone is crowing about an extra hour of sleep. But in that extra hour you could

Send an email or respond with encouragement to a Facebook

Write out a card to send by snail mail.

Enjoying reading or journal. Do something creative.

Clean one corner. Accomplishment. (Grateful for bag of trash going out.)

Have a cookie because you’ve been good.

Good night. Get some well deserved rest!

Good to hear that friend who is ill might be diagnosed,

Unbelievable that gall bladder surgery can  be out patient. Happy healing!

Technology that lets me send a quick message.( I love emojis!)

That books can be accessed by my phone.

Spooky Sunday

Spooky that its been days since I posted. Beware the passing of time and be grateful for every day.

Halloween decorations I put up remind me of people I cherished and those I love now.

Hubby mowing. Perhaps the last time for this season.

Left dead mums up as a Halloween decor. Porch will look better with them gone.

Creeping into November. The grateful month!

Grateful for hamburger in the freezer so I don’t have to grocery shop.

Grateful to look at all the wedding pictures. Grateful I’m figuring out how to share them.

This Is It

For months we have waited for today. The culmination of all their planning.

All of my  personal organization. The wedding is today!

This afternoon my daughter and her love declare their vows.

Last night we dined to blend the families. Good food! Good vibes!

Much ohing and ahing over the babies! Baby V was so cute with toddler antics and little V was a newborn delight!

I have pictures. There will be more.

75 people will gather to celebrate their legal union. Love in  the air!

So grateful my brother in law Jack and his wife came clear from California. We enjoy them!

What memories will we make? What lies ahead?

All the best to the brides!

October Breezes

Love brisk Fall days but today has me thinking of socks and sweaters. In the plan to buy a few sweaters! (I’ll borrow Hubby’s socks)

Putting the garden to bed and in that bed planting tulip bulbs. Sleep well! See you in the Spring!

70 one day 50 the next. Impossible to believe that I was perspiring on our uphill hike on Wednesday. Grateful two determined ladies made it safely to the car.

Incentive to go out is a check waiting at Hourglass consignment. Glad my stuff sold.

Challenge is to not spend my earnings. I asked for a check instead of store credit. I promise unless something blows me away!

Pondering why a breeze off the ocean is refreshing and a night time breezes so soothing. Today’s breeze seems bossy!

Embrace the breeze no matter how bracing!

October Ole!

A  walk gives me a chance to notice that the fields are changing. But there is still so much beauty.Blue skies. Warm sun. Purple and yellow flowers.

Even in the bare bones of a tree wind stripped  of its leaves. Spotting an occasional colored leaf. Two turtles on a log.

The grasshoppers danced and doisee dooed whenever we stepped onto their field. I found it delightful every time.

A companion gives me a chance to unload a heavy burden. Something shared is lighter when carried by two.

Listening to a poetry blog helps me sort my feelings. Soon I will write.

National Taco Day, On Taco Tuesday. Ole!

October Observations

The best thing about September was Vivi. Veronica was born on September 20th. Babies put us into a tailspin but they are calm knowing people are near.

Bless the parents as they learn the way. Keep all safe. Grant wisdom and eventual healing and rest.

Started to write about Hurricane Ian but observation is South will rise again. Grateful it was not more deadly. Thankful those I know are safe.

Lost a Queen and saw a nation who mourned her with dignity. Grateful to her for a life of service.

My October looks to be exciting and busy. A friend suggested I pace myself. Savor the flavor of each day.
