One phone call from an honorary daughter. Glad she came into our lives, We were meant to find each other.

An email card from a sister of the heart. My amazing Carol full of grace. I once was lost but now I’m found . We constantly astonish each other.

Gathering a donation for Good Neighbors and realizing how much I have, I will not miss these bags of clothes. Gone for good!

Taking a consignment in and finding a dress that delights me that I will wear to daughter’s wedding in October.

Found a ring Hubby gave me for a birthday long ago. I wear it today.

Returns at the store when what you ordered isn’t right. The quest continues to find what I want.

Grateful for 48 years of marriage. Not all happy days but he’s still the first I tell things to.Listening is so important.Someone to talk to.

He agrees with me even when he doesn’t agree with me. He bails me out when I said yes.He goes along with my plans when he rather nap.But he never complains if I nap.

Household helper. Laundry, dishes, litter boxes, coffee set up,yard work and trash to the curb,fix it man, occasional cooking when I’m spent.

Together we grieved the old dog. New puppy is his buddy. He sits with him for hours.

Big mean cat sleeps by his head Waiting up if the other cat gets out..Grateful for his patience with them.

the unbelievable gifts of having someone to blame things on or an excuse to get out of things.

He knows just when to suggest  going out to eat.He goes to the grocery with me. He buys the goodies.

I could go on with about thirty more things.Just want to take a moment to say though he drives me crazy I’m crazy about him!

Grateful for consignment shops and thrift shops, Took a consignment in.Money for things that sell in the Fall.

You know you love something when you don’t care what it costs.

Feeling confident and feeling that I don’t need to impress anyone.

An outfit for Church half off.  A new swimsuit. Hubby sad it isn’t sexy. (He makes me laugh!)

The cooler weather feels heavenly. The storm blew the humidity away. We enjoyed the storm from the porch.

Playing Words with Friends with a man from South Africa. We get chatting about depression and the world feels small.

Lunchtime. Grateful for food to eat!

Wedding RSVP’s coming in. Grateful to those who let us know.

Baby quilt coming along. Grateful I have let myself be imperfect as that filters down I find faux pas acceptable. I hated the ducks but have come to coexist.

Grateful for a cloudy day. Perhaps rain?

The search for a stuffed animal that plays “You Are My Sunshine” was successful . I think? If nor grateful for returns.

Gluten free waffles . So satisfying! Not low calorie though.

Quiet weekend. Went to the pool. The water was refreshing.

Going on an adventure with Carol. Everything is an adventure with her.

Got to find a way to move my body while pool is closed. Grateful for other options.

Grateful to be going to a picnic after water exercise at outside pool. Sun is shining. Predicting 90. Can’t find sunblock but I can borrow some.

Water friends they know me yet they don’t turn away.We have gotten to know each other by extending our friendship past the exercise into an occasional breakfast out.

A nice day of diversion from the things on my mind. Things will be OK it says on a sign in my daughter’s neighbors yard.

Packing healthy things. Must remember to drink water.Contributing veggies and dips. I will be grateful for them.

Nice cool water and friends. Bring it on!

I didn’t shed a tear at the movie though I heard it was a tearjerker , Amazing they can make you care so much it takes your breath away.

Being the listening friend when friend needs one. I have been grateful for my listeners.

Neighbor moving. She has been part of my for  life 35 years. Today I choose to remember the laughs and triumphs.

Awake at 4 and feeling overwhelmed by baby quilt. Cannot cry or the pattern will run. I must keep going and take pride in my efforts.

We have been enjoying our daughters new dog but must support there reasons why a puppy isn’t a good fit. He’s so cute! We babysat him again yesterday.

As we cry we consider taking him. So many reasons not to. Soon an adult conversation first between us then with them.

But all these things will pass and I still have my friends and the beauty in my life!

Waking up and thinking today I will swim, then clean my room, go to a movie, eat supper. Then quilt Orange as I am working on three ducks on a baby quilt.

Puppysitting shifts priorities but Hubby steps forward so I don’t have to miss the movie. Bless him!

Arriving at swim class late so stay for another class. Glad there were two.

Don’t think my room is getting cleaned. Tomorrow is another day!

Planning a simple supper. Flexibility in everything.

After supper its quilting time. The ducks look so cute on the package. Instructions are intense.I picture them completed.

Glad to be able to help my daughter and salvage the day.

Rabbit Rabbit- a new month’s begun. Last month of Summer. Grateful for the first months.

Beautiful flowers. Soon will be mums but for now the petunias please me while the morning glory vines tease me.

Hyacinths are breathtaking. I plan a rainbow walk soon.

Planning to see a movie this week. I have sometimes regretted letting one get  away.

Anniversary coming soon . He has been part of my life for an impossible 50 years.(More later)

Meteors every night but we haven’t looked for them yet. Friend Carol wants to see one. I told her we’d try.

How blessed we are! Safe, secure and well fed and content.

I wrote  one Gratitude list in July (now two ) but wrote a poem everyday. Thankful for the creative juices.

Seeing a video of V walking has me grinning. We will have a picnic. Soon!

A walk with a tiny puppy and my daughter. Sitting leads to sharing. Walking and talking grateful for both.

Planning a phone call with a friend who sounded distraught in a text. We need to take care of each other.

While we talk I will be stitching. Grateful for hands free phone. (I might finish a section of the baby quilt today!(
