Looking Back On July

Grateful for the sunshine that makes the flowers grow. The morning glory vines reach to the top of the trellis. The Rose of Sharon is blooming for the first time. I saw a blue hydrangea.

Grateful for the rain to save the grass and adjust the temperatures. Enjoyed porch sitting as storms build up. Cloud lightning in the distance.

Grateful for safe storms. Tornados have hit South of here.

Grateful that Carol is coming back from vacation. Because of our poems we texted everyday but I have burdens.

A month of gluten free eating. Grateful  that I can buy some products. Bagels by Bagel Babes Yummy! Delivered to my door.

Praying for peace as tensions ease. I would rather see fireworks than hear of gunfire.

Stay cool. Cool Heads! Be cool! Hydrate!

My Grateful Prayer

.Wants and needs! Understanding the distinction.Grateful for my bounty.

Waiting to go see the sunset. I bid farewell to the month.

Promises to drink more water for my health. Grateful I have easy access.

A bouquet of talents. We make a lovely spray.

Morning Pages and Daily Poems. Expand your mind and challenge yourself.

Thinking about the month. The events and the reactions. Grateful to be here in the pause before July comes noisily in.

Graci Diem

Two languages but don’t want to look up Latin for thank you. But I can . Amazing Technology.

Cooler temperature. I’m in my comfort zone.Enjoying it today since hotter times coming.

Cutting up a variety fruit for Ice Cream Social. Diet friendly food. I want to go just don’t want the no no’s.

Preschool teacher wants the rinds. She was happy. I feel noble.

Watching fireflies on the porch at night. I knew they were doing fireworks somewhere but I chose God’s little miracles.

Finishing up things I need to do by month’s end. It snuck up on me.

Banish The Dark

Negative thoughts breed quickly so fill your life with positive. It is frightening in the dark so turn on the light.

Grateful to read all the ideas people have to turn things around maybe not to where we were but to where we can believe in freedom, unity and love.

Challenge you to look for beauty and promise. Turn away from the dark to the light.

Carol saw a rainbow which is a promise of hope.I saw a cardinal a supposed messenger from heaven.

Life is unfolding as it should. Open yourself to signs of synchronicity. Live one day at a time being grateful for that day.

Lord give me the serenity to change the things I cannot change, the courage to change what I can change and the wisdom to know the difference.

The world shuddered but didn’t shatter. Never give up!

Memory Ghosts

Looking through a box of old pictures is like time travel. I am reminded of people and places. So many smiles and pictures that make me remember.

Grateful for my memories. Love ya ghosts.Don’t see my family often but I love all of them.

A memory ghost is a specific thing that bring a specific memory. I see them as flip I through. I can hear happy birthday sung in a lot of them. “Trick or treat”Smile!Chicken Pox!

Sentimental day today! Grand daughter’s birthday , I saw her from bump to her bump. Grateful for her.Thankful too.Happy Birthday Sunshine!

Wedding Anniversary for dear ones! The pictures show him change. Clever girl not many of her. Beautiful bride! Wonderful day! Contented content!

The things that I save are ridiculous but precious. Seen through the filter of love they make sense.

Didn’t find the exact picture I was looking for but found two I kept out of the collection.Welcome to my shelf! Your faces make me smile!

Floating

Mired in moods. Today I let it all go!Picturing my balloons of unhappiness floating away.

In its place I let in happy thoughts. Happy balloons! Friendly clouds.

The cool refreshing buoyancy of the pool. Floating, exercising and talking to my friend.

Spending a short time playing phone games. Thought Wordle was float which would have been de-light-ful!

A virtual hug ,at least someone understands why I’m down and that lifts my spirits.

A good day to stitch while it is hot. I have let go of my desire for perfection and accepted that this quilt is stitched with love.

The fact my grand daughter wants her father’s baby quilt makes me exuberant. My spirits rise that a great great grandchild is using a quilt my Mom made.

Looking forward to a stretch out in front of the AC later today. Music and meditation and relaxation I will myself to let go and let God.

Grateful For My Desk

Hubby built my desk last week but this is the 1st gratitude list from it. Thank you for your hard work.

It about killed me to get down to plug laptop and lamp in. More admiration.

I see the sign that says “my other house is immaculate.” LOL Must be my heavenly home!

I see a Mothers Day card. Snail mail has disappeared so I treasure every card. I usually end up using them as bookmarks.(Thanks Kel)

Father’s Day this weekend. We are cooking and serving a meal at Church. Glad to be of service. Grateful to helpers and bakers.

Grand daughter’s card ready to be inscribed. Grateful for her and the gift she will give me this Fall.

Cup that says You Are My Sunshine holds my pens. Smiling polar bear and green duck are on shelf above. I have a creative corner.

Every gratitude list is a prayer. Grateful for all I have!

Assignment Grateful

Reading newest book by Julia Cameron Seeking Wisdom. Grateful for her guidance and wisdom.

A gratitude list!Grateful to have to do one as we examine prayers of gratitude.

There is nothing you can’t be grateful for even 100 degrees heat index good day to read and organize.

Awe is the starting point of gratitude. Or Aw when it’s a baby rose breasted grosbeak.

Thinking of who I’m grateful to and why -my mind goes like a slide show. Faces fill me with love. Grateful for my beloveds.

“Bless them and change me” “May my will be thy will” Gratitude is “noticed goodness”.

My mother believed every cloud has a silver lining. We learn the process of coming out of the dark into the light.

No clouds today. Drink some water and take it easy. (Do’t forget to water your flowers!)
