Bravely stepping out to take a chance. Managing the technology.

Cooking 80 lbs of chicken to feed whoever comes tomorrow.

Nice cool temperature. Wish it would be cool at night I would be grateful for a good nights sleep.

Road trip. Keep us safe.

Don’t Forget

Don’t forget to be grateful but don’t forget to forget.

Grateful that many things are in the past and that I can let them go.

Grateful for things that are coming up.

Grateful that I can remember to face things when and if I need to.

How could I have forgotten how beautiful Spring is?

How could I have doubted that it would forget us  this year?

Still Grateful

Still doing prompts for poetry but Carol and I are taking turns.

Still amazed how different ours are everyday.

Still singing RESPECT as that is today’s.

Switched the recliners. One won’t recline but still a comfy chair.

Water exercise. I was meeting a friend. We ended up in different classes but we still got some exercise.

COVID still around. It is disruptive. Thanks to friend who gave me some tests.

Heading out for a hike and a chat. A good friend is still the best in so many ways.

Trying to remember to be still, thank God and be grateful.

May I May ?

May I take this last day in April to think about what I have uncovered and be grateful for every event in April.

I was sick but learned to rest. I was waiting for Spring but learned to be patient.I tapped my creativity and had fun doing so. I hope I left some footprints.

May I be more aware so I treasure the beauty of the rest of Spring.

May I see opportunities not obligations, May I trust that things I worry about will turn out well.

May I come to June more organized and more thankful.

May I May!

TGIF

Last few days of April. Glad flowers didn’t freeze in the frost.

Grass cut and yard tidy.  Rose of Sharon has some green buds.

Swim class. Talking as we pass each other. Conversation in spa.

Falling asleep as I listen to an audio book. Narrators voice is so soothing.

My daughter’s birthday is Sunday. I will make her some home cooking as a present in a few weeks.

Finishing up last few poems of April poetry challenge we decide to keep going.

Writing a story for Tell A Story Day. I am proud of it! ( I rescued it from 2004 when I first started working on it!)

Have a good weekend!

Variety

As the weather bounces around I’ve decided to be grateful for getting to experience all the seasons in a week.

Grateful for all the colors of tulips in my garden. There are the cutest mini daffodils.

Grateful for the many clothes I have. Today I feel dressy in a new to me top.

Grateful for simple fare. With virus we ate light now craving less. Blessed less.

Grateful for my array of friends. Post a picture and likes come from everywhere.

Grateful for my variety of shoes and socks I can borrow from Hubby.

Variety is so much more fun than hum drum.

Moving Right Along

Meal at Church on Sunday.Trying to figure out proportions to make mac’n’cheese for 100. Homemade. Yummy!

Chicken strips. Last year I made them by hand. Thankful to be buying them this year.

Grateful for my calculator. Grateful for macaroni on  sale. Glad we have some of the supplies.

Glad it was a quiet week while I didn’t feel good. Major accomplishment to write a poem each day.

I hated missing swimming this morning. I miss my friends but I need to rest. Recharging.

May is coming. A taste of warm weather this weekend. I will soak up some Vitamin D.

Still get to take Baby V her Easter basket. I anticipate her enthusiasm. She is crawling now!

I am making progress even if I don’t go anywhere!

W is For Wednesday

Washing machine humming along. Whump of dryer! Warm fragrant clothes!

Wonderful Hubby who doesn’t mind washing.

Whoosh goes the sweeper. Well done,M.E..

Watching the grass grow. Weeds don’t exist for me.

Warm temperature.Wind is kind. Wondrous day.

Wow Wondrous doesn’t have an e.

What a day!

Look At The Snow

How can I find things to grateful for when looking at the snow covered ground? If I shake my fist, there will still be snow! So chill! (Good pun!)

Look inside. Hubby made breakfast. I am warm. We are OK.

Look outside. The snow against the forsythia is stunning.

Look inward. The toolbox tools to combat depression are fun.

Look at the bright side. Just enough snow to keep you from having to do what you don’t want to.

Look around. You have everything you need.

Look up instead of looking down. This snow won’t stick around.

Day Of Rest

Was it too much Easter food or just a bug? Grateful that the pandemic fear is gone.

Feeling better after being sick in the night. Our amazing bodies can reset.

Get well wishes. A balm of sympathy. A tincture of time.

Simple foods and water. Nothing sounds good yet.

It can snow and it can and will for I can just wait till I feel 100%.

I can nap. I can read. I can do whatever I want on this day of rest.
