- Thanks to my mother for taking our whole family out to dinner to celebrate an early Father’s Day at a restaurant we’ve never been to before and every dish was amazing!
- Becoming friends with the nice diners sitting next to us at the restaurant because they also had a baby with them. It turns out their baby was only 2 months older than my niece, their baby and my niece have very similar names–only one letter difference, and both have short curly hair!
- Chocolate gelato is on sale!
- I got to try my sister’s cookie butter ice cream for the first time and it was delicious!
- The kindness of the cashiers and the other employees at the grocery store! They always ask how I’m doing first, genuinely care about people, are humble and down-to-earth, and extremely helpful!

Thank you God for June 18, 2015!
- Leftover fried chicken lollipops from last night’s dinner was delicious for lunch today!
- The strong roof over our house and the garage to protect us from the rain and thunderstorms
- That refreshing feeling I get from the rain and how God washes everything outside for us–our patio furniture, our cars, our stairs, our windows, our doors, etc.
- Being able to take my parents out to a nice dinner at a French restaurant to celebrate an early Father’s Day and they both LOVED the food! Everything was cooked juuuuuust right! The waitress was absolutely wonderful too!
- Every time we’re looking for a parking space, I ask St. Anthony, the patron saint of lost items, to pray for us and to help us find a good and safe parking space. I find him to be very quick and reliable every single time. I’ve always found one immediately after asking him and he has become one of my most familiar saints! Today was no different and we instantly found a great and safe parking space directly across the street from the restaurant on very busy street at a very busy time!
- My parents were able to communicate cordially and kindly to each other all day!
- Spanish food!
Thank you God for June 17, 2015!

- Delicious Indian curry chicken!
- God sending us rain so that our garden would grow and we wouldn’t have to water it ourselves! Rain for the birds and outdoor creatures–for them to shower and play in and water to drink!
- Rain when we’re inside and no rain when we’re outside! God is looking out for us!
- Received a gift card! Yay!
- That the new phone charger I bought for $1 works even better than the original one! I love it!
- My mother’s generosity
- Fried chicken lollipops!
- Looking forward to taking my parents out to dinner tomorrow for an early Father’s Day dinner at a French restaurant. Thanks to Groupon!
Thank you God for June 14, 2015!
- I’m noticing that the family conversations in the car during the commute to church on Sundays are becoming increasingly joyful and peaceful
- Being blessed with all of the ingredients to make a pasta salad loaded with 4 different vegetables, eggs, and ham to share with people at church
- A new restaurant opened two days ago that serves cuisine from the city we’re from, so I got the opportunity to take my family out to try it for lunch today. Everyone in my family LOVED it! My niece even started dancing happily in her high chair and she finished eating all the food on her plate!
- Leftovers to take home from lunch!
- Waiters who are VERY good at what they do, are energetic, anticipate needs, are humble, selfless, hardworking, work tirelessly, are happy and have a positive attitude, and love what they do
- Humble people–my favorite kind of people!
- Sold a hairbrush on eBay!
- Brothers and sisters in Christ at church with whom I can be completely open about sharing how God is working in my life and through me and who share the same with me, so that God can help all of us to grow closer to Him through fellowship with each other
Thank you God for June 13, 2015!
- Very glad to have my parents come with me to go home-hunting and offer their opinions on the units!
- The ability to smell
- The guidance of the Holy Spirit, leading me to God’s will
- Being told that it was going to rain all day, but it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day! So this worked out just right for home-hunting and showings!
Thank you God for June 12, 2015!
- Got to take my parents out to dinner and had a really good heart-to-heart conversation with them about things that have been on my mind and the need to move out. It felt really good to tell them everything while they listened quietly and carefully. Then they shared with me things from their heart too. It was wonderful!
- Having enough supply of medicine
Thank you God for June 11, 2015!
- Realizing I am under budget in food stamps this week on groceries when I thought I went over, so now I can get ham, mushrooms, and chocolate ice cream! Yay!
- Went to the farmer’s market today (which gets me giddy just thinking about it!) and saw these beautiful bunches of organic asparagus! The super friendly farmer was selling them for 2 bunches for $5. Since it was closing time, she was extra generous and decided to give me an extra bunch, so it was 3 bunches for $5!!! I immediately went home and cooked them for my parents. The asparagus were sooooooo sweet, naturally flavorful, crunchy, fresh, green, and delicious! We all loved them not only because they tasted amazing, but also because they were grown in the way that God intended it–without pesticides, preservatives, chemicals, artificial flavors or colors, GMOs, etc. I am so glad I made it there just in time to buy them!
- I went to a taste testing today!
- Healthy legs and warm weather so that I can walk around from place to place!
- Soup!
- The most incredible thing happened! I’ve been in the midst of planning an evangelization booth at a local summer fair that gives away resources, Bibles, etc. whatever people need at their stage in life in order to grow closer to God and build their relationship with Jesus. Three days ago, I randomly came across a facebook page that linked to an indiegogo project called “The Bless It Forward Bible Project” (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-bless-it-forward-bible-project#/story) that is distributing free bibles across the world and is looking for people to help pass out these bibles at their parishes. I had just been looking for bibles so that my fellow summer fair volunteers and I can pass them out at the evangelization booth! Truly this is the work of the Holy Spirit providing for everything we need to carry out His will. Hallelujah!
- Ample time. When I am on God’s timeline, nothing is ever rushed and I get to go through my day with ease–everything in its own time. If it is His will that I do it, then He will give me everything I need to do it, including sufficient time to carry out every task with patience, care, and my full attention.
- Organic cauliflower! Every time I see this on sale at the grocery store, I jump at the opportunity to get it!
- Was able to get a new phone charger! Thank you God!
Thank you God for June 10, 2015!
- Getting to see my beloved doctor for the first time in 4 months!
- After treating me intensely for the past 18 months, my doctor told me today that he will be moving. I am very grateful that in my most vulnerable and sickest period in my entire life, God sent this most compassionate, kind, knowledgeable, and extraordinary doctor into my life to heal me, not only physically, but also spiritually, emotionally, mentally, etc. through his friendship and because I was able to see Jesus so clearly through him every time I saw him. If it wasn’t for this amazing and loving doctor, I would still be severely sick, not in remission, and unable to stand or walk or consume salt. I am in deep sadness that he is leaving, but I am indescribably grateful that I was his patient and that I got to meet him, because I learned so much from him about how to love everyone unconditionally like the way that Jesus wants us to. He has done so much for me, way beyond his job description, all without ever complaining because he cares so much for his patients. He will always hold a special place in my heart and that place is reserved just for him. I pray that one day I’ll get to see him again and that we’ll be able to keep in touch as friends. I hope he thinks of me as his friend. :) At the end of my appointment with him, I wanted to look beyond myself and tell him that I wish him well in his new position at the new hospital and to congratulate him and tell him that I was happy for him, but I was so shocked at the news and overwhelmed with streaming tears that I didn’t say it. I ended up saying “Noooooo! Do you have to leave? If it wasn’t for you, I would not be in remission.” I had grown so attached to him that I couldn’t imagine anyone else as my doctor. I’ve never had a doctor prior to him who genuinely cared about me as much as him. In fact, I’ve never really had a “real” doctor until God sent him to me. He is an angel on earth and I am going to miss him for months and months to come. He is in my morning prayers every day.
- Horchata and leftovers from yesterday’s dinner! God’s abundance!
- After leaving my doctor’s office, I couldn’t stop crying all day long. But then I started having an incredible day. It was as if God was comforting me and He was trying to cheer me up. Though tears were rolling down my cheeks endlessly, Jesus filled my whole heart with a profound peace. I don’t always have this much peace. Usually on weekdays, I have about 50%-75% of the peace I received from Jesus today. On Sundays after receiving the Eucharist, that’s when I have the most peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace! The thing is, this amount and level of peace is not something I can give myself or something I can get from the world (dining out, a cup of latte, eating my favorite foods, engaging in my hobbies, spending time with friends, traveling, money, taking a nap, exciting events, shopping, nice weather, etc.). This peace is something I simply receive from God for free without doing anything or going anywhere just because I am His daughter, and when I realize I have it, I cherish it so much and want everyone else to have it too.

Thank you God for June 8, 2015!
- Today I received inspiration from the Holy Spirit on how God wants me to celebrate Father’s Day with my family and where to take them, and the providence to afford it!
- This morning, my phone charger broke and it turned out that I was able to borrow my dad’s phone charger for a phone is a completely different brand and model than mine and it worked!!! I was so surprised that his phone charger was able to charge my phone too! The best part was that I maintained peace the whole time and didn’t worry about it at all. I just told myself and believed that everything would be OK and everything would work out–and it did! :)
- Sold a coin on eBay!
- Health insurance and free blood tests and urinalyses!
- Not many people in the laboratory waiting room today, so I was able to get my blood and urinalysis done in 30 minutes! In addition, I got to enjoy a wonderful conversation with a lab employee while waiting–makes the time go by faster! I am grateful for painless blood tests and having enough urine to give.
- Sunny warm weather!
- The very kind grocery store employee who helped me by reaching all the way to the back of the freezer to grab the very last chocolate gelato for me and it was on sale!
- Chips and salsa!
- I am very grateful that there are many seminarians, nuns, priests, and religious education teachers who are readily accessible to me whenever I have a question about the Bible or God or when someone who isn’t baptized yet asks me a question I don’t know how to answer. They are always there for me and I am wealthy because of having these friends!
- My sister ate the food I prepared! Yay!
- My niece’s smile, her hugs, her excited “Hi!” waves even if I’m just walking into the kitchen from the basement, whenever she suddenly comes up to me and tugs at my shirt just to say “Hi!”, the little funny things she does like trying to zip up her coat when it only has buttons, etc.
