the outing was yesterday, with 144 golfers

I took lots of photos

Maribeth was in charge of the 50/50 raffle

Dyan coordinated registration, door prize display, and getting dinner together

Kevin was in charge of everything!

So much fun and revelry!

What Am I Grateful For Today?

Hubby home from hospital and doing all kinds of things. (He’s washing today)

I was not hurt when I fell. Body heals! Bruises fade!

Getting a response from my sister when other sister was worried about her. (We have to take care of each other!)

Cool weather but need it a little warmer.

Going to movies. Nice way to spend some time.

New month coming make some resolutions!

I have everything I need except stuff to make dinner. Sigh!

Hand Of God

Finally realizing Hubby needed to go to ER Saturday. (Some say 5 hour wait isn’t bad for a Saturday night!)

The major traumas and dramas. I knew some people had some serious problems.

Keeping a sense of humor and a sense of perspective. Chatting with another couple and their concern when Hubby admitted.

The medical expertise that decided he was in crisis when I thought he needed Pepto.

So grateful my phone spells diverticulitis when I’ve had to write it a hundred times.

Grateful for antibiotics and grateful he tolerated them.

Grateful for those who stepped forward to fill my shoes and those who reminded me to rest. Grateful for family and friends.

Glad to have him home. Grateful for the wakeup call so that I will Know a lot I don’t know. (I couldn’t figure out the remotes to turn on the TV. Soon I will know everything I might need to know.)

Thank you Lord for your hand in so many things this last few days!

May 20, 2024 – 12:40 pm.

I am grateful to have sick time today.  I fell on Saturday down my stairs from my second floor.  Bounced down on my back and butt.  Back is slowly getting better but tailbone is still pretty sore.

I woke up today.  God…..THANK YOU!

Even if I missed church yesterday, God is till with me and I always have YouVersion and my Bible.

More rain coming.  I think we have made up for it, but it does make the flowers and grass beautiful.

My son.  Enough said. :)

Grateful that my son has his best friend turning 29 today.  They have known each other since Kindergarten and continued to be friends and more like brothers.

The internet. I would not have found this site without it. :)

1. Goddess

2. Successful field trip organized by my mother.  Beforehand, she said, “All the noses were counted, and all the noses said they would go.”

3. Amareen. Seeing her again.

4. Gratitude turns what we have into a miracle.

5. The sofa

One, Two, Three -Go!

Grateful for lists and new starts.

Embracing the joy in each day. Searching for it.

Resisting the urge to “bed rot”. I’m choosing a few things to do each day.

Grateful for the trash men, thrift store owners and friends to hold you accountable.

Lunch with friends today. Guaranteed laughter.

Reminding myself I need only do a few things today!

May 14, 2024 – 10:20 a.m.

God. Thank you for letting me awaken to see a new day.

Two days off, counting yesterday.

A wonderful hour long massage yesterday. Thank you Patty for the gift certificate.

Getting turned around at the Mall as my bus stop got switched to the other side of the building.  Because of this, I got plenty of walking in and made my 10,000 step goal.  It was fun to look at all the stores in the Mall and also had a good meal after my massage.

My son, two brothers and a brother’s wife and my niece went up to the cemetery on Saturday to pay respects to our parents.  Happy 109th birthday in Heaven, Pops.  We had dinner together after we left the cemetery.  I am so grateful to have my siblings alive and son living close  and family living locally so we can get together.

A nice bath with Epsom salts last night.  Much needed.

The sun is out!  It is only 46 degrees but it is still good. :)

Good music and good books.

Another sober and nicotine free day.

We lost an employee from another department to lung cancer recently. He was a wonderful employee and friend.  He would jump in and help anybody, not matter what department you worked in.  He got sober and quit smoking years ago and remained that way till his death.  I am grateful to have known him all these years and the many, many conversations we had.  RIP Randy.

Waking up slowly this morning.  I love days off when I can do that and I can gradually start my day.

I’m Ready

Figured out what to wear but can’t find the pants-grateful for my many clothes.

Runny nose this morning. Love Spring but grateful for tissues and nasal decongestants.

A little chilly. Grateful for my jacket.

Thrifting. So excited by what I might find.

Cookies that aren’t too high in carbs.I bought a few packages so I have a treat if munchies hit.

A day that’s just for exploration and relaxation.

Everything is fun with Carol. We make it so!
