Category Archives: Gratitude

Due to a storm, we haven’t had power for 3 days. This makes me appreciative for the following:

1. No power, means no electronics. We’ve spent more quality time with our family as result.

2. I’ve had a chance to stop and appreciate what having electricity means for us. The ability to see in the dark, heat our homes and store our food are at the top. Power of course allows us to use so many other appliances and devices that we rely on every day.

3. I’m thankful this outage did not take place in the middle of winter when it’s much colder outside.

4. Due to the storm and outages I’ve had a chance to connect with many of my neighbors whom I might not have spoken to otherwise. We’re all in the same boat right now.

5. I’m grateful knowing that it’s just a matter of time before the power comes back on. This unfortunately is not the case everywhere in the world right now. I’m also grateful for the hydro crews that are working tirelessly to make this happen!

Today

Today, I am overflowing with gratitude for the amazing weekend I had with my friends. From the laughter-filled conversations to the unforgettable memories we made, it was truly a weekend to remember.

Furthermore, I am deeply grateful for the sound sleep I had last night. The feeling of waking up refreshed and energized is truly priceless.

I am also grateful for arriving home safely after a long day. The comfort of being in my own space and knowing that I am surrounded by love and safety is truly a blessing.

I am grateful for the delicious meals I enjoyed today. Whether it was the savory aroma of my morning coffee or the satisfying taste of my favorite dish, each bite was a reminder of the abundance and richness of life.

Lastly, I am immensely grateful for my amazing family. Their unwavering love and support has been a constant source of strength and comfort throughout my life. From the small gestures of kindness to the profound moments of connection and understanding, their presence in my life is a true blessing.

It’s been a while

I haven’t stopped to appreciate the wonderful things in life for a long time and I notice the difference in my thoughts, which have been less positive lately. This is my first post here in over 2 years.

Today’s list:

  • Family. So happy to have my wife and kids. They are my world. I’m so happy to have my parents, brother and sister and my nieces. I’m also grateful for having my aunt and uncles. I’m truly blessed to have these wonderful people in my life. I’m looking forward to seeing all of them for Easter this weekend.
  • Spring is upon us! It’s wonderful to experience longer days so to speak and to go for walks without having to bundle up too much.
  • We’re having some structural repairs made to our house this week. I’ve wanted to get them done for years. I’m grateful to have the means to do so and to have someone I trust doing the work.
  • I’m grateful our car has lasted 14 years and counting. It’s wonderful that we’ve been able to count on it for so long.
  • I’m grateful for the community we live in. There are so many wonderful people here. I’m especially grateful for the volunteers at our local pool. They do a great job ensuring the community has a place to enjoy each other’s company through fun activities, swim lessons and sports programs.
  • I’m thankful for having found a hobby I truly enjoy. It allows me to work with my hands and to enjoy my own company with music from time to time.
  • I’m truly happy for a new organization I joined last year. So many great people there and I’m learning a lot from them.
  • I’m grateful for my job and the new opportunity that presented itself recently. It helps make it more interesting and challenging.
  • I’m very grateful for the people I work with. All are kind and when we disagree with each other it’s done with respect.
  • I’m especially grateful for how well my boss treats me. It makes a difference in your life when you have someone in a leadership role that supports you.

That is all for today. This was refreshing :)

Your Own superhero

Being my own superhero makes me proud of myself, even though I may feel small and insignificant at times. By pursuing my goals and staying true to myself, I feel unique and whole. I am grateful for my flaws and imperfections, as they give me opportunities to grow and become wiser. Even when I succumb to my egoistic delusions, I am still grateful for the humbling lessons they teach me.

I am also grateful for the gift of health, and I reflect back on my physical abilities from five years ago with a sense of gratitude. I appreciate the struggles and challenges that have helped me grow, and I trust that any future struggles will also contribute to my personal growth.

Overall, I am grateful for my journey of self-discovery and for realizing that I am my own superhero.

What is good ..

Garteful for God’s word to me today .
Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect. – Romans 12:2

Romans 11 poems

Oh, the depth of the riches and the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and untraceable his ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? And who has ever given to God, that he should be *repaid? For* from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever. Amen. – Romans 11:33*

Just be proactive

Gratitude journal

++Grateful that I am tired, exhausted physically but not attached to my previous destructive behaviors that I usually do when I am worn out. Grateful that binge eating is not me, it was a part of me at sometime when I did not have the willingness to cope with stress, anxiety, or over thinking.

Grateful that I am overthinking, but today  i am aware of it. Uncertainty is not a bad thing, and for the times I worried and overthinked, things just work out for the best. The facts are ; the things I was uncertain of, overwhelmed by turns out to be blessings, and they guided, sponsored my growth. Uncertainty comes from too much thinking of the future, expecting too much or too low are both harmful, just proact, expect the best and prepare for the worst. Uncertainty is fear and fear is delusional, and it will always be. Uncertainty is not something to base what I am doing in my day to day basis on, it is something to be aware of, it might happens that things became worse, but not all the times, and even though, you learn from dark times, you appreciate good times.
