Uncertain Gratitude

1. I read By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept: A Novel of Forgiveness in one sitting, with happy tears.
2. Working with a woman who really appreciates our spiritual explorations together
3. Honoring those who’ve been around longer than I have, and hopefully helping others to see the wisdom and value in older generations too
4. As soon as I landed on this page, my heart leapt. What a beautiful, incredible, needed band of women: International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers – the 2012 Council will be in Montana!
5. Acknowledging the life that’s behind me is no indication of the life that’s before me
6. Listening, really listening, to Ray LaMontagne- Jolene has me slain.
7. Sending healing, energy and calm to a friend having a hard time
8. Being at the library with my husband. My favorite place, with my favorite person.
9. Uncertainty
10. “The only reason we don’t open our hearts and minds to other people is that they trigger confusion in us that we don’t feel brave enough or sane enough to deal with. To the degree that we look clearly and compassionately at ourselves, we feel confident and fearless about looking into someone else’s eyes. ” -Pema Chödrön
