Boundless Gratitude

1.  My grandson Nate was playing in a baseball game yesterday, reminding me of his father Kevin at that age.

2.  I turn to his father, my son, and said — “I used to pick out your clothes every day — if you ever have trouble deciding what to wear in the morning, feel free to give me a call.”

3.  Luckily, Kevin is used to my weirdness, and if he doesn’t get a dose once in a while, I am sure it would concern him.

4.  So on this sunny/cloudy day, I looked across the ball field and spotted a RAINBOW.

5.  And then a Great Blue Heron flew right across it — my luckiest bird of all!

6.  I whipped out my iPhone and took a picture of Nate on the field with the rainbow behind him!  Oh me, oh my!

7.  Andrew, my other grandson, came over and sat on my lap for a while — he’s 6 and this lap sitting business is to be much appreciated because it might end at any time.

8.  He got a kick of all the pictures of sock monkeys I have taken with my iPhone.

9.  Then Tom and I went for frozen Yogurt.

10.  Settled in for an exciting night of American Idol and Dancing with the Stars (I do pretend not to be a TV watcher, but you caught me!  ha ha ha)

Rose is right — we are so blessed to have each day!
